Other Things to Note
This location is full service with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping open in nature while you are here. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese foot path in the rice fields. We provide flashlights to all our guests and always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive.
We had stayed in the nearby bamboo cottage before so we only had to move some steps further down the rice field. It was the same lovely staff as before and it was taken good care of us. They are building a new house just behind the treehouse; however the noise is very little.
We felt save & comfortable all times. However, the treehouse is not in the best condition anymore yet still good. I can fully recommend this experience,
What an unbelievable treat this place was. If you're interested in staying in a treehouse at all in Bali (which clearly you are) you needn't look any further than this place. I was picked up at the airport by the sweetest driver who made it his mission to tell me all I needed to know about Bali. On arrival the short walk to the treehouse was all the reassurance I needed that I had made the best decision. Wayan is a wonderful man, he's so sweet and funny. His English is great and he'll make you feel totally at home. The treehouse is clean, roomy, not too hot and feels perfectly safe. The bathroom is the same and the shower is luxury. You'll love the high speed wifi and the beautiful surroundings, the only noise is that of the neighbor birds/lizards and insects but it's a magical symphony to send you to sleep. Be sure to walk through the paddies surrounding, there's a quaint village a short walk away if you're heading away from Ubud centre and it comes complete with a sweet restaurant too. You're going to love it here, and breakfast makes it even better! After I checked out the boys took me to the owners quarters for more coffee and accommodation - be sure to ask them for any help on the area surrounding (I got a ride into Ubud and dropped off exactly where I needed to be!)
Enjoy your stay and these people, it's a perfect way to enjoy Bali.
Upon first arriving at the treehouse, I was a bit shocked as it was a little more off the beaten path than I was expecting. For someone who has never even been camping, I was a little nervous. However, we ended up having a once in a lifetime experience and I'm so glad we chose such a unique place to stay. The staff at Wayan's was so kind and friendly. The only thing I would've like to see is a welcome card with contact information and maybe a map of the area. We weren't sure who to ask if we needed anything. They do provide you with flashlights and umbrellas if it's raining, but other than that, you're on your own! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
We stayed 3 nights at the tree house. The host, Rainy, and her team were responsive and accommodating to all our requests.
It is a good place to stay if you want to be close to Ubud center, yet be close to nature. the walk from the tree house to the center is about 20 min. during raining days, walking on the path leading to the main road can be challenging as parts of it can be muddy, especially in the night.
For city dwellers who need a door to feel secure, this will not be suitable as there is no gate or door to lock the house. The environment is, however, very safe. You also have to be comfortable with your "crawly neighbors" from the nature.
Overall, it is a nice escape from the city.
Very nice experience. A lovely setting, staff are very helpful.
The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the long walk from the taxi drop off to the treehouse, though the staff were there to help with parcels, just a call away. They supplied me with a local mobile phone so I could get of them at any time, very convenient & helpful
The staff also helped organize me a driver for the 3 days I was there
Very clean & was serviced every day
Good service included the delivery of a scooter to the rice fields. Amazing sleep included the mysterious noise of bells and bangs. I discovered I had a cheeky goat as a neighbor next morning. Lovely breakfast and stunning views in the midst of Ubud make this a unique and magical
Experience. Not for the faint hearted city slicker but for Eco warriors!
