A plushly decorated bamboo tree house suspended above the rice-fields just minutes from central ubud down a secluded foot path. A swiss family robinson childhood fantasy come to life with all the plush amenities.

The space

The tree house is made almost entirely out of bamboo. It has two stories and includes a downstairs breakfast nook nestled in among the organic garden and an upstairs sleeping space with an open view of the rice fields fully furnished with an antique javanese queen day bed including canopy mosquito net. The roof is traditional thatch alang alang and this mini swiss family robinson style tree house features the adventure of sleeping in nature with all the amenities you need. Bathroom has a rain shower, unique hand blown glass sink and open garden so you can shower under the stars.

Guest access

Guests can access freshly prepared meals from the garden and enjoy the many surrounding hiking trails. A candlelit dinner or massage can be arranged and the fireflies may even join you.

Interaction with guests

There is a full staff to cater to your every need. We will greet you with breakfast in the morning and guide you in activities such as arranging massages, adventure tours our helping you with transportation. We are happy to greet you with a flash light and escort you at night along the path. We provide you with your own local phone during your stay so you can call for service at anytime during your stay.

Other things to note

This location is full service with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping open in nature while you are here. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese foot path in the rice fields. We provide flashlights to all our guests and always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive. Also, please be aware that allthough we provide all the amenities this is still a tree house and still you are in Bali. We are located in the rice-fields and because of this you should expect to see lizards and dragonflys and other such bits of nature. This is part of the experience of staying here and we hope you enjoy it. Because of the proximity to rice-fields we have a very important member of our staff that ensures the villa is mice free. She is a cat. She works for her food and does a fantastic job. You would not be happy with the critters that were there with out her great assistance. She is sweet and friendly and will say hi. This said if you don't like cats or are not ready for all that nature entails, this is probably not the place for you.

breakfast is included in your stay. it is Delicious vegetarian and different every day. If you are vegan or have other special dietary needs we are happy to accommodate your needs but as they are outside our daily routine we will ask that you pay an additional $3 per day for a custom meal.

The treehouse is amazing, the photos don't do it justice. From the beginning, right through to check out, the staff looked after us very well. They collected our luggage from the road and took them along the path. Our luggage was waiting for us at the treehouse by the time we walked along. We were early to check in but this didn't appear to be a problem. The treehouse is simple but comfortable. It was amazing to wake up in the morning to the sound of the insects and a view of the rice fields. Breakfast was served in the treehouse, it was simple but delisious and slightly different every day. Special thanks to Erika who cooked and served our breakfast every morning, and was always happy to help with any questions we had, such as arranging a taxi. There is a passion fruit tree to the side of the treehouse. I would highly recommend asking one of the staff to cut one of the fruits open for you, it tastes amazing. As a word of warning, there are no doors or locks in the treehouse, and no lock on the bathroom door. Also, the treehouse isn't quite as secluded as it may appear. It is beside the communal area for the firefly restaurant and pool, although we didn't have any problems with this. We found it could be a little noisey some evening was sound traveling from the traditional dance shows in the town if you try to go to sleep early. The walk into Ubud centre took us about 25 mins. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the treehouse.

The tree house is absolutely beautiful and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The view from the tree house is gorgeous and I slept like a rock both nights of my stay. A delicious breakfast and coffee were provided every morning in their really cool common area. The location in the rice fields is wonderful and relaxing, but it does make for a bit of a walk to get to the road. A few things to be aware of: the tree house is right next to the common area, so it is not as secluded as we expected and the sound does travel. Also, there are no doors with locks including the bathroom. We had no issue with any of our things being messed with, but it's good to be aware of just in case you are bringing any valuables with you. And finally, the wifi worked for maybe 5 minutes the entire stay. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did mean making arrangements for our next stay was a little more difficult. Overall, it was an amazing and one-of-a-kind experience that I would highly suggest!

Wonderfull stay, best I have ever had! Beautifull enviroment and a lovely Bamboo treehouse, also a lovely little pool and restaurant for Some drinks and food. A bit remote from the ubud city center but I would advice everyone a stay in between the Rice fields of ubud.

Loved my stay here. Tucked away a short walk from central Ubud, but you would never know it. Slept during a rainstorm in my open air treehouse and woke up walking the rice paddies. Great common area and little cafe. Such a great experience. Would stay here again next time I'm in Ubud. Also - Ketut was awesome!!
