Other Things to Note
This location is full service with all the amenities and all the adventure. We invite you to enjoy the unique experience of sleeping open in nature while you are here. This includes as some reviewers have noted hiking in on a traditional Balinese foot path in the rice fields. We provide flashlights to all our guests and always have someone to greet you at the road carry your luggage and escort you in regardless of when you arrive.
SPECIAL NOTE!!! We have construction going on next door but only untill the end of may. We have cut the price in half to reflect this bother. We appoligise for the inconvenience.
- beautiful, serene location on the edge of a rice field (except for construction: see below)
- the description of the treehouse is accurate: it is exactly that, a minimal bamboo treehouse. Very beautiful and with authentic character. (Be careful the steps are quite steep leading up to the sleeping area)
- a staff member will meet you at the beginning of a foot path that will lead to the treehouse.
- just outside of the hustle and bustle of Ubud but very close to walk to (10 min walk into Ubud)
- strong wifi (the best we have experienced in Bali so far)
- friendly staff.
- free breakfast (small amount of food but very tasty omelette)
- we were not warned that there is a construction site literally beside the treehouse (attached to the property). Construction and heavy noise started every morning at 9am. However, the workers were friendly and often smiled and said good morning.
- lots of ants (not in bed, thankfully). Toilet is covered in hundreds of ants so we avoided using it as much as we could and used toilets in town at cafes/restaurants. We alerted a staff member and they poured hot water over it immediately, but that only solved the problem for one hour.
- the bathroom looks nice but the handle to the shower falls off easily.
Overall, I think we would have been happier if there was no construction - I am disappointed we were not warned in advance via email. We would not have booked the Airbnb if we had known. However, I think once the adjoining house is complete it could become a really great place. If you are comfortable if nature (and if bugs do not bother you), this place can be perfect for you.
Unique and interesting experience. I 'm not a camper but was interested in experiencing living in a tree house for a night. At fest I was going to stay here by myself but am really happy my friend was able to join me and share the experience with me, as it is located in the middle of the rice field, and I can be a bit of a scaredy cat. Nonetheless, bathroom was clean and everything you needed was there. It's actually quite comfortable for outdoor living.
The Host met us with such a feeling of welcome that the heaviness of a 32 hour trip and jet lag was lightened considerably. 2 Gentlemen met us on the street to carry all our bags the 1/4 mile through the most beautiful and quiet rice patties to our secluded and romantic spot.
It was truly a thrill to arrive and stay in. They took our meal order, (highly recommended the first night) and delivered a feast. Only glitch was that they asked for rupaih cash right after the meal and we had not yet had the chance to get that kind of money exchange. We worked it out but is was weird.
We awoke to construction on a new house right behind us. Good news is that when done, it will have a pool and kitchen available right there. (Although some of the seclusion that makes this extra magical, will be lost). We were very impresed that the owner and manager offered us both a free massage and refunded a night's accommodation to apologize for the construction.
We are looking forward to the finished project when we return!
The treehouse was amazing! We were only there for one night, but wish it could have been for longer. You are really out there in nature, pass through about 300 metered of country side and rice fields before reaching it. The tree house looks just like the photos. Even tho it has no walls it feel extremely cozy and private. The staff was terrific. They were so helpful and appreciative and even though you were staying in nature they made it feel like you were at a hotel and only a call away. We also ordered the sweet potatoes wedges, which were from the garden, and bar far the best sweet potatoes I've ever had. I also arranged a massage, which was amazing and performed right on the lower level of the treehouse with beautiful sounds of nature. All in all it was a great stay. You are in the middle of nature, so expect to see bugs and hear some noises that you haven't heard before, but if you can appreciate it rather then be put off by it then you'll be fine. If you're on the fence about booking you should go for it anyway, and it will exceed your expectations. My friend and I wouldn't consider ourselves outdoorsy in anyway, but we loved it and can't wait to come back again!
Lovely treehouse with downstairs and upstairs areas, except the construction next door from 7.30am to 5pm everyday is very loud and privacy is somewhat lost due to it. Staff are very friendly and helpful and I was provided with torches, umbrella and a phone during my two nights stay. Breakfast was great and changed every day, however everything else on the menu is quite disappointing.
Really nice view and surroundings and ducks walked past all the time!
This place was so absolutely wonderful! The pictures do not do it justice! It is nestled amidst the rice paddies, a little but of a walk, but so worth it! Quiet and the best views of the rice paddies! Wayan & Ketut were so wonderful!! Helpful and so caring!! I cannot wait to come back!! Also, the breakfast every morning was so delicious!
