Charming 1920's Capitol Hill Studio

Apartment - Entire home/apt · 17th Ave, Seattle, WA 98112, United States

The Space

Spacious studio apartment in beautiful 1920's building on the North End of Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood, mere blocks from the city's best coffee shops, bars and cafes. Two blocks from 15th, a ten minute walk to the Pike/Pine corridor, and a ten minute walk from the beautiful Olmsted Volunteer Park.

This location could not be more convenient. Three grocery stores are each reachable within two blocks of the apartment, and a pharmacy is a ten minute walk or two minute drive away. Enjoy all that Capitol Hill has to offer, and return to a side street away from the hustle and bustle so that you can relax with peace and quiet.

Beautiful apartment with luxurious queen bed with feather pillows and duvet, hard wood floors, french doors, a spacious kitchen, and beautiful vintage furniture/decor. The apartment is full of art, and has a certain warmth that will make any Airbnb vacationer happy to have it as their little retreat. Treat yourself to a night in with my vast collection of VHS, from Some Like It Hot to Wayne's World. Bathroom has a full bath and shower, and apartment has radiator heat to keep you nice and warm during the fall and winter months (and alternately a window fan unit for the hotter summer months.) Wifi is included, as well as speakers that hook into any iPod or MP3 player. Full kitchen is well stocked with the tools to cook a delicious meal. Street parking is readily available within one or two blocks of the apartment, and a guest tag is available to validate free 48 hour parking.

This is the perfect place to spend a cozy weekend while in Seattle.

The apartment is easily reachable from Seatac airport, the Amtrak station, and I-5.

I live in the apartment with my kitten, who will not be there during your stay. However, if you are allergic to cats, her dander might bother you. The apartment is professionally cleaned before your trip, but please take this into account if you are especially sensitive to cats.

  • Virginia is a welcoming & generous host! I had a late arrival, and she was completely ready to accommodate. As for Virginia’s home, it is comfortable, serene, & beautiful. Her artist’s touch is everywhere, and at the same time, the apartment has all the practical items one needs. The neighborhood offers plenty to do & see—Virginia’s guidebook covers a wide range from the indulgent to the practical!—and yet Virginia was also always available with additional advice for navigating the city. And if you were ever to need little extras—from an umbrella to a reusable grocery bag—she would be at your service. I hope to be back soon!

  • Virginia's cozy studio is a good size for a single person or a couple and is full of vintage charm and great art. The location was perfect for us--on a peaceful street, but near lots of great food options, shops, and bus lines. Virginia was such a gracious hostess. She welcomed us like we were old friends, gave us some great local recommendations, and was just incredibly sweet and helpful all around. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks so much for an amazing stay, Virginia! :)

  • This was our second stay at Virginia's place. It was just as perfect as the first time!

  • My husband and I loved our stay at Virginia's beautiful apartment! It was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, tidy and a lovely place to come home to at night during our stay in Seattle. The decorative touches made it feel very home-like and well-loved. It was also very close to bus stops and a short ride into the downtown area - but there were plenty of interesting cafes, restaurants and coffee shops just around the corner in Capitol Hill's main street. Virginia was really friendly and helpful and we appreciated her tips on places for food and coffee (her fav places to go soon became ours!). She was always quick to respond on email with any questions we had and genuinely happy to help. Thanks again, Virginia! We highly recommend your apartment as a great place to stay!

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful week-long stay at Virginia's Capitol Hill apartment. Our expectations were exceeded- this place is truly a gem. The location is perfect- quiet building, quiet street, and a short walk to all of the 15th Ave. amenities. We didn't have a car, but getting to all the other neighborhoods is super-easy by bus. Virginia was a great host, and responded to any questions we had immediately via text. The apartment is great, plenty of room for two people and very clean. It has everything you could want and more for your stay. I loved the personal touches, like the ipod loaded with music, and all of the great wall art. We will definitely be back!

  • Virginia's apartment was the ideal location and size for our stay in Seattle. It is indeed charming, and plenty of high-quality grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops (I recommend Fuel on 19th) are within walking distance. Despite its central location, the unit and the neighborhood are quiet and peaceful—our 2-month old slept better there than he has anywhere else, ever. Best of all, Virginia's friendliness and hospitality made us feel extremely welcome. We would gladly stay here again.

  • Virginia's place was the perfect launch point for the best weekend in Seattle. In what felt like the perfect blend of neighborhood, clean, very quiet, and so easily accessible to all the major destinations: top restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, you name it. We loved the details in her place--she's got a good eye for design. Virginia was also very helpful in giving us tips on her favorite spots, which soon became our favorite as well! My girlfriend wrote a blogpost here: (website hidden)

  • Light, bright studio in lovely old building. Great location. Comfortable bed, tho a bit small for two tall people. Amenities adequate for our limited needs. Pleasant, cooperative host.
