I am totally available 24/7 to help with any issues.
This is one of the best historic districts in Chapel Hill. You can walk to town in 10 minutes and enjoy all the fabulous restaurants. You can walk to campus in 5 minutes. Dean Dome is a 10 minute walk from the house.
I came to Chapel Hill from Slovenia for 1 month. I came to observe on UNC and had to find my own accommodation. To be honest, my main wish was that the apartement would be close enough to UNC that I could walk there. So I found Cheryle`s house. Her lovely house is located very close to UNC, just 5min walking and is very comfortable. The apartment also has its own back yard, more than enough room for one person, is fully furnished and has all the things you need.
And last, but not least, the hostes is the nicest and most caring person that you can imagine. When I arrived, there were coffee and fruit waiting for me and she made sure I was not missing anything. I will miss her. I really couldn`t choose better!
This is a great spot to stay in Chapel Hill. It's located adjacent to campus in a gorgeous neighborhood. We appreciated the secluded location of the mother-in-law towards the back of the house, the brightly decorated interior, and the fact that we were able to bring our dog. Cheryle was very accommodating. She met my wife at a time that was convenient to us given our plans and provided everything as promised. We definitely hope that Cheryle's property will be available on future trips to Chapel Hill.
Cheryle did make us feel welcome, but the place was not for us. Stains on the ceiling. Could hear Cheryle and her mother talking and walking upstairs, roach trap in kitchen....lumpy bed...might be ok for college kids, but not for us. We left.
Ernest. I'm so very sorry the place was not for you. I realize you are elderly but I would have appreciated a description of the property which included the good parts. You wife thought it was lovely, at least she told me that when you checked in. I know it was cleaned spotless and there were flowers and coffee and juice and milk left for you. I have never had any complaints about the bed as it was custom made in France for that antique bed. I wish you had at least talked with me with any concerns. I wasn't aware you had left. A review such as this one feels a bit mean spirited. People of all ages have enjoyed the apartment and were grateful for it, not just college kids. I do hope things went well in Raleigh for your beautiful whippet!!
Cheryle's in-law suite was perfect for my husband and I. We were awaiting our Certificate of Occupancy on our new house. This changed our move in date a couple times and Cheryle allowed us and our dogs and cat to stay 4 days longer than planned.
Her suite was very charming and has possibly the most comfortable bed, comforter and sheets I have slept on ever. There was everything there we needed from Kleenex to the coffee maker. It was very clean, very French feel to the decor. Location is perfect to everywhere we needed to go in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Chapel Hill. I wish it was spring to see more of the garden in bloom. As it was - there were Camellias and Lenten Rose in full bloom. Mahonias with lots of berries. The patio out the kitchen door would be lovely to sit and have coffee first thing in the morning. I loved it and would go back if I ever needed a nice place to stay. I highly recommend Cheryle's AirBNB.
My parents stayed in Cheryle's side apartment and loved it. Just as described-- bedroom with queen bed, nice living room/sitting area, kitchen, bathroom, wifi. Very clean. Her home is very close to campus and Franklin St. Cheryle is a very kind and accomodating hostess. Couldn't recommend her more.
The reservation was canceled 26 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
First of all, Cheryle is really a wonderful host! Always friendly, helpful and very concerned about her guests having a great time at her place. She is just fantastic and always around if something is needed.
The in-law unit itself is truly charming. It is nicely decorated with antique furniture and fascinating artwork. Besides, the back yard is really gorgious and a very peaceful place.
The location of the house within Chapel Hill is just perfect, especially if you're looking for a place close to the University. But also Franklin Street, where all the restaurants and bars are is definitely in walking distance.
