Have a Wonderful and Pleasant Stay!
John was the ideal host. Showed the rental and made suggestions about local restaurants and sights. Even brought us some bananas off the property.
The property was as represented and we enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time at the Haiku Cottage!! John was a perfect host and made sure we had everything we needed. I loved the screened in porch! What a beautiful place.
Three of us stayed at John's cottage situated in a quiet neighborhood of Maui's North Shore. The shower water pressure is good and forceful, the kitchen is stocked with enough dishes, pots and pans, and a programmable coffee maker, plus a teapot and a French press. The cottage was very clean and the towels and bed linens were very good. This is a place for the independent traveler or for someone who wants a taste of Maui living. The banana leaves rustle, the neighbor's rooster crows, horses munch grass, while the geckos chirp from the eaves. Multitudes of stars can be enjoyed in the black skies. John is ready to assist if needed, but leaves you alone if that's the case. Mahalo to John for providing reasonably-priced accommodations.
We loved the cottage! We loved its setting and its quiet, lush tropical spot in a regular neighborhood. We were able to cook and barbecue easily and borrow things like boogie boards easily. The screened-in porch was a fabulous place for quiet reading time, and we enjoyed the outdoor tub and rope swing as well. It is close to Haiku and Makawao for locally grown and harvested foods. I can't imagine a better place to spend a vacation on Maui.
My parents stayed for an entire week, and I haven't stopped hearing about their stay since! They really enjoyed their time at the evergreen cottage!
Loved, Loved, LOVED my time in Maui - my first time there - and my stay at the EverGreen Cottage was a big part of that wonderful experience. From when I first arrived there, I knew I had arrived at one of my "home bases". My host John was awesome with all communications and getting me settled - and the fabulous Hayley (who had bananas from the property waiting for me for a snack when I first arrived) greeted me with the very heart of the aloha spirit. The cottage was quiet, restful and chill - the daybed on the porch was my favorite place to nap and watch the sun go down. The tub in the backyard was a great place to relax after a long day. And I loved the location - I did not want to stay at one of the beachy resorts. It was super convenient for my trips on the Road to Hana, the awesome farm tours in Kuna, and the towns of Paia and Makawao. I left my beach towel at the cottage as a sign that I will be back soon - I look forward to my next trip!
John was on hand when we arrived and immediately made us feel welcome. We got in early, so couldn't get into the cottage right away, so he provided us with beach towels and snorkel gear so we could enjoy some relaxing time on the beach. We also got some amazing bananas that had just been picked.
When we got back, the cottage was ready and just as described. We both enjoyed our time there and would love to return in the future.

I particularly enjoy meeting guests and assisting them with recommendations on where to dine and in selecting Island activities. Our staff is also available to accompany guests on their adventures and with outfitting.
