Finestret is surrounded by Peach and cherry orchards and looks stunning in spring when the blossom is intoxicating. If you come in the cherry season it is fun picking your own plump red cherries.
There are marked walks around the village for the less active and more experienced hikers. Or you can go the whole hog and tackle the magnificent Mt. Canigou 2786m, only for experienced walkers.
The river Lentilla runs through the village and is clean and safe for children to paddle in (supervised).
The beautiful lake and beach area in Vinça is ideal for the family, sunbathing, swimming and non-motorised boating. Patrolled by lifeguards in summer. Other facilities at the lake are a café/restaurant and a play area for children.
The nearest shops are in Vinça, with a boulangerie and several other local shops including a small supermarket to stock up with. Twice a week Vinca host a small market.

The region is arguably the sunniest in the whole of France with more than 300 days of sunshine each year.
We advise a car is needed if you plan travelling around the area. But if you don't want to drive too far, there are regular buses and trains to Vinça and all fares are only 1€ per journey.
We do not allow smoking in the house at all but we are happy for you to smoke on the roof terrace.
We ask guests to respect our holiday home and take care of it during their stay. We understand that accidents happen and the odd glass or plate could get broken, we are not worried by this. However, if something more serious is broken during your stay we would ask you to contact us as soon as possible so that it can be repaired before the next guests arrive.
On your departure please leave the house in a good clean condition.
Maison Lentilla is a beautiful spot in a lovely village close To the mountains. To explore the coast you need to drive a bit more. We did not meet Julie, but communication is easy and smooth. Only disadvantage of the house is lack of a view from roof terrace. Other than that, extremely quiet, clean, well decorated and confortable!

Very happily married with 4 children and 4 grand children. Spare time is mostly taken up with renovating our derelict house (the apartment is the first part to be finished and we are very proud of how successful it is). Favourite pass-times, eating, drinking and relaxing.
Looking forward to having people stay in our apartment, this has been our "baby" for the last 2 years and we hope you will love it as much as we do.
