An was an amazing host. We felt welcomed and at home. She even provided us with a detailed map with all the attractions and good restaurants of Brugge. The room was cosy and comfortable and the bathroom/toilet were clean as well. It was overall an excellent experience.
An knows Bruges very well and provided us with good advice as to sites to visit, nice places to eat, etc.
The room is not very large (for 2) but quite cosy. The bathroom is shared with the couple sleeping in the other room.
We loved the atmosphere in the house and the room; beautifully and artistically decorated, lots of sunlight, very welcoming and pleasant.
We were dead-beat the first evening and it was a joy to be able to sit in bed and watch TV; An had thoughtfully provided a DVD player and the movie "In Bruges" which we hadn't seen yet and which was a perfect start for our weekend there!
Be prepared for a lot of walking! The house is 10/15 minutes from the main sights as advertised, and any weekend city trip means a lot of walking - but I had forgotten so I thought I'd warn you anyway! Painful for feet and bum, I feel like I've spent the weekend doing Olympic sports :-D
Thanks An for providing a map and lots of information! We had a lovely time :-)
Clean and tidy bedroom. The apartment is cosy and well decorated : feels like home. An is a welcoming lady, gives good tips for visiting Bruges. Not too far from the centre : 10 minutes walk. Nice bars and restaurant on the way to the centre. We recommend this nice place !
I had a lovely stay at An's place with my wife and son. It's a beautiful place with very interesting decor. An is a very helpful and friendly lady. The place is very close to the city centre - it made for a lovely walk. Highly recommended!
We were only in Brugge for a very short time but An gave us such fantastic information on the city that we were able to make the most of our short stay. She provided a map and an extra sheet with all her favorite places to eat and most importantly the place to get the best beer and it really was the best beer in all of Belgium :) Her place was lovely and warm and comfortable. We had a great chat with her the next morning and she told us all about her exciting and very interesting life and work. We could have chatted all day. The house is also filled with lots of lovely art from all over the world. If we make it back to Brugges we would love to stay at An's place again. Thanks :)
