Interaction with Guests
We are more than happy to recommend local or interesting places to go!
I am at work most of the week and so you might not see much of me but Damian is always at hand for anything you need.
Depending on what you are interested in doing during your stay, we have local tennis courts about 5 min walk away at Larkhall Park and Battersea Park is a 20 min walk away and definitely worth a visit. Alternatively Clapham High Street has lots of bars and restaurants to explore. We are also a short bus ride to Tate Britain, the bus actually stops directly outside so very easy to get to. The same bus goes directly to Trafalgar Sq so you can be in the excitement of the city centre in no time!
We also have Barclay's Bike Docks near the house, where you can rent out a bike for an hour or a day! The first 30 mins is free, and it is a great way to explore the city.
Our first recommendation is to purchase an Oyster card. This is a travel card you can use on the underground, overground and buses. It costs £5 deposit and then you top it up with money for travel use. It is by far the cheapest way to travel, without it a journey will cost more than double. On leaving you can take it to any underground and hand it back in for a refund on any money left on the card and your £5 deposit back.
We have buses that go to the city centre across from the house. We also have an overground link to East London next to the house. We are a short walk to Vauxhall which has underground station and large bus terminal with buses heading all over the city.
Other Things to Note
Check in is 2pm or anytime after this. If you need to check in before 2pm you can come to the house and leave bags have a cup of tea etc and collect keys, however the room will not be available until 2pm.
Before setting off on your trip it would be great if you can send me a quick message with an estimated time of arrival.
Check out is no later than 11am.

We have 'touch taps' in our bathroom and these require gentle turning. We ask that guests consider this when using the taps as they have been broken a few times now we thought it would be worth mentioning.
If you are leaving the flat at a time that nobody is around ie. very early in the morning, please lock the door behind you and post the keys through the letter box. Please do not leave the door open and unlocked.
Please respect our home by showing some modesty when walking around the flat.
Staying at this apartment was a nice experience. There is a bus stop close by that brings you to the center, so it is quite convenient to get to places. We didnt run into Damian and Michelle very much (because we spent very little time in the apartment other than sleeping), but the stay was fine. One downside was that the apartment was chilly, but this seemed to be a common issue in London.
Damian and Michelle were very welcoming and nice to us. They gave us good tips (place to go, easiest way to reach the city).
We had everything we needed, towels, shampoo etc. Tidy, cosy, perfect place for a short stay.
Their house is well situated, 20 min to the city center by bus.
Damian and Michelle are more than recommended. :)
A fantastic place to stay! It's a neat little room walking distance from the tube and 1 min from buses. Damian & Michelle were cheery hosts keen on a chat but respectful of your space. Azure the whippet is gorgeous!
Damian and Michelle are both very courteous and welcoming people. My stay with them was easy, clean and hassle free. I didn't get to talk with Michelle too terribly much, but Damian and I got to talk quite a bit. We even played a round of Mario party together. All in all, the listing is accurate, the location is perfect, and both Damian and Michelle are lovely. Bonus points if you're a dog lover, Azule's the cutest little pup.
Damian and Michelle were very kind and welcoming with me and my partner. We stayed with them just for one night, but it was enough to enjoy the place and nicely chat with them. We could find all that we needed (including towels, hairdryer, shampoo etc.) and the house was very clean. Highly recommended.
Damian and Michelle were lovely hosts who made me feel very welcome - even their dog was super friendly too. The flat was lovely (if a bit tricky to find!) and in a great location for my purposes. Excellent value for money and I'd definitely book there again.
This is by far my best Airbnb experience. Michelle and Damian are a lovely couple who are really accommodating. They are very nice people to chat and to live with. Upon arrival, they've got everything ready with clean sheets and room. The wardrobe is commendable due to the good space and plenty of hangers. You'd definitely find them useful especially during winter. The kitchen is well equipped and they've got really nice teas. Azule was a cutie and darling boy to play with. Thumbs up for being excellent hosts! :)
I work as an artist assistant and free lance artist and have lived in London for almost six years. I am originally from Scotland and lived in Belfast for five years before moving to London. I live with my boyfriend Damian who is from London and grew up in the house we live in now, so he definitely knows our area well! We enjoy going to the cinema and meeting up with friends at the weekend or just relaxing watching films. We also enjoy cycling around the city and going on walks with our little whippet Azule.
We recently bought a little whippet pup called Azule. He is very friendly and a typical pup! He sleeps in the living room in his crate and as we never leave him unattended he is a well behaved little dog who loves nothing better than a cuddle!
We are always happy to meet new people and reccomend places in our area to explore. We are very easy going and hope that people would feel happy and at home within our house.
