I did not meet any staff or the host. The front door sticks extremely bad and is very difficult to open and close. The front door also has a large gap at the bottom which easily allowed bugs in. The code did not work on the back door so I had to wrestle with the front door.
The bedroom has a window AC unit which is not shown in the pictures. it is right next to the bed and very loud. The lines that were raved about in other reviews were no where to be found. the pillow cases had holes in them. I would not stay here again.
Thanks Jacques. The door is fixed on both counts. The code works on the back door.
There are two AC units-- European central AC in the main area, and a window unit giving you control of the temperature in your room. So you don't need to use the window unit on "high." :)
House and room was very clean. Perfect location to where I wanted to go. Everything was less than a mile away so very easy to walk anywhere.
Julia emailed over great instructions before I checked in. The room was small (advertised accurately) but that's all I needed for the weekend at a great rate! The room was very tidy and with the door codes I felt my belongings were safe. Overall an easy experience.
Quick and easy check in. The bed was really comfortable and had its own AC. The location is very close to downtown. I would gladly stay here again.
Julia's house on the east side is great. Clean, but with a ton of character and an ideal location. Quiet and peaceful for your R&R, yet walking distance to many attractions that Austin is abound with. Would definitely stay again.
We were just passig through Austin and it was perfect for what we needed! Comfy nice and clean. Small room and shared bathroom, but that was fine with us! We dealt with Sarah, so Julia is actually not the person to contact, which was a bit confusing at first, but Sarah worked everything out for us! We had a lovely stay.

About the Host, Julia
Hey ya'll! My name is Julia, I am a Brazilian and your host. I am passionate about opening the city up to people who are new to Austin and for those who are simply coming back for a visit. Music, art, theater, and film are all interests of mine so I keep up with all of the venues and upcoming events happening in town. I love to recommend places to eat (like "Juan in a Million" my personal favorite), things so see (like the bats underneath the South Congress bridge), cocktail bars (like the prohibition style bar "Eastside Showroom"), fun actives (Lake Austin has tons of water related ones to try) and events to attend. I make it a priority to make sure you have a safe, comfortable and enriching stay with us. Please feel free at anytime to contact me with any questions, requests or comments you may have, I would love to hear them, take care!
