Beautifully restored Javanese bungalow from the 1940s that captures a bygone romantic era. The bungalow is made entirely from teak wood and surrounded by tropical gardens with a view of the lush forest to the south from the deck. The spacious bedroom includes a king-sized bed with an intricately carved Balinese headboard and goosedown pillows. The semi-outdoor bathroom is a dream come true with a stone bathroom surrounded by a fish pond.
The space
Begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast choosing from an array of Balinese, Indonesian, and western dishes prepared by our in-house chefs. Room service is available and you can dine on your elevated deck overlooking the forested valley. At the end of the day, tuck yourself into a firm king-size bed with goose down pillows. Both bungalows are part of our estate that includes a total of five villas plus our house, all of which are separated by landscaped gardens and forest for maximum privacy. Our boutique eco-resort is compliant with the Green Globe and Earth Check sustainability standards. If your date is booked, we have one other similar bungalow and check with us.
Guest access
My husband and I own and operate Bali's most unique eco-resort, Sebatu Sanctuary, which includes a spacious natural swimming pool with more than 300 fish, and a three-meter waterfall. The pool overlooks a forested valley below and has a three-meter high waterfall that besides being great fun, increases dissolved oxygen in the pool necessary for the bio-filter. Come prepared to swim with the fishes. We also have a restaurant specializing in combining the best aspects of Indonesian and Thai cuisines.
Other things to note
My husband and I own and operate a boutique eco-resort, Sebatu Sanctuary and our reception is open until 10 pm. Please let us know if arriving after 10 pm so we can arrange to have staff to check you in.

Our property is about 800 meters from the historic village of Sebatu, renown for its excellent Gamelan musicians, Balinese dancers, and a thousand-year old water temple. My work: Eco-resort Mgr&Owner
My husband and I own and operate one of Bali's most unique eco-resorts called Sebatu Sanctuary. On site, we own an award-winning restaurant.
I love to travel and have visited New Zealand and Australia several times, along with Italy, France and Switzerland. For me, it's exciting seeing new places, but also I love Bali and enjoy sharing the island's enchanting culture and beautiful places with our guests.
