WELCOME TO A NEW LUXURIOUS FAMILIAR ENVIRONMENT IN THE EAST COAST OF BALI
Picture to yourself a tropical paradise where you never feel cold. Imagine waking as the light increases outside the window of your luxury room, decorated with orchids and frangipani blossom. As you slide the window of your villa a gentle breeze creeps in, full of bird song at the scent of flowers. You gaze East towards the Island of Lombok across an azure rippling sea, where you can glide across the coral and view a multitude of fish, only metres from your villa. You sit on a chair, and take in the scene, or perhaps step down a few stairs to immerse yourself in the pool which is never cold. Afterwards, sip a blended fruit juice of mango, pineapple, papaya and mangosteen prepared by your own personal chef and maitre d'Kadek. You discuss with your friends and family your plans of the day, all of which will undoubtedly bring a feeling of relaxation and contentment.
BALI MARINA VILLA'S is a small Swiss-run complex of 3 luxury villas in Bunutan/Amed situated in the north east of Bali. The Amed area is often referred to as the "REAL" Bali. Only 2-3hours drive from Kuta and the Airport with several fast boats services to the Gili Islands and Lombok. Bunutan is also a great place to explore the area for diving, snorkelling, trekking, biking etc. Away from the mass tourism, you will find the original and authentic Bali with its unique culture and the traditional lifestyle of its local people.
In an area of modest beach hotels and small one storey villas, this property stands head and shoulders above any accommodation The small size of the development is in keeping with our philosophy a very personal and individualized holiday experience.
Each bedroom contains a beautiful hand-crafted teak four poster bed with mosquito net canopy if required. The floor is of teak. There is substantial hanging and cupboard space. The air-conditioning units is very modern and quiet. Behind this area a door leads to a beautiful bathroom with bath/toilet/shower. The detailing in clean stone work is attractive and there are substantial vanity mirrors, as well as further storage space. Steps lead 50 metres up the hillside through the imaginatively laid out gardens and their miniature rice terraces, the water gurgling from terrace to terrace, supplying the palms, bougainvillea and hibiskus and frangipani. As you reach the head of the garden two of the villa - VILLA "Hibiskus" and VILLA "Frangipani" are in front of you with a commanding Eastern view, and the crystal clear blue of the swimming pool invites immediate exploration and a chance to relax after your journey.

Other important information:
Bali Marina Villa's is not suitable for children under 5 and regrettably we do not have disabled access because of the stunning location on a slope which gives such a panoramic view of the sea. Please note that the swimming pools are unguarded.
Together with my wife we had a great time staying at Marina's place. We stayed there for 3 nights in the largest of the 3 villas. We were lucky enough to be the only guests at the time so we could also have the pool only to ourselves. The house is tastefully decorated, spacious and comfortable and the helpful staff made sure that we had a good time. Overall we would like to repeat this experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting to escape the crowds in Bali.
Bali Marina Villas is exactly as it appears in the photos, it's beautiful and just across the road from the beach. We stayed in the spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with full kitchen. We didn't actually use the kitchen much as there are plenty of places to eat in walking distance and the staff can bring you meals in the villa which is a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening. Meals are so cheap it's not really worth the trouble to shop and cook for yourself. I loved the location, as it's very quiet and you get to see the old Bali, it's completely different to spending time in the more popular areas of Bali, but I would choose it over them every time. There are black sand beaches which you can snorkel directly from or take a traditional fishing boat. If you want to get away from it all, this is the perfect place, but be warned there is no shopping and very little night life. Marina was fabulous to deal with, she answered all queries promptly and with grace. Although she wasn't around during our stay she communicated with Kadek, the property manager to check all was ok. She was also in contact with me after we'd been there a couple of days to check all was well. The staff were all extremely welcoming and always had a smile, nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend this property.
Marina, Kadek, and co. helped make our trip to Amed one of the best vacation experiences I can recall. We stayed for only a night but left wishing we had allocated more time for our trip to Amed.
The villa itself is beautiful and offers an incredible view, especially at sunrise/sunset. There is easy access to the scuba shops in Amed. The staff were very helpful and kind. We enjoyed a few delicious meals at the villa as well.
We had an overall excellent experience and I would strongly recommend the place to anyone visiting the area.
We had the most exquisite time at Marinas. The staff were warm and welcoming, the pool nice and clear, the food great and the region spectacular. There in house restraunt / kitchen is easily one of the best place to eat. I would recommend travelers try and book the boughanvilia villa. It has a cozy little kitchen net attached. The fact that we got chilled wine and beer mugs as part of our little mini bar is an exple of attention to detail one does not often get to see. Keep up the good work guys.
Dear Abhi Thank you very much for your nice special review. We are most happy about this. As well for your privat Feedback which always helps a lot and keeps us in a good way improving. It was and is a pleasure to host guests like you who are respectful and friendly. All the best for you and your wife. Marina, Kadek and staff
The accommodations and location in Amed were great and Marina was more than we expected from a host. She was flexible, kept constant contact, offered to set up transportation to and from our Villa and even coordinated a special Honeymoon dinner for my wife and I (which was wonderfully cooked and presented by Kadek, the chef on site). Our particular Villa, the largest one, was extremely spacious, private and had a gorgeous view. Since there was not much to do in Amed besides snorkel and dive, we were happy to have such a great place to relax! I would also like to mention that Ketut was a great driver and more than accommodating to our requests.
We had the pleasure to stay at Marina Villa's for 15 nights. Our Villa ‘Bougainvillea’ was absolutely stunning! The villa was luxurious, beautifully decorated and it was very big. We had two bedrooms - perfect for a family of four (2 adults and 2 boys aged 7 and 10), a kitchen, a living room, a ‘lounge’, 2 beautiful bathrooms and the most wonderful terrace with sea view. We were surrounded by tropical flowers and fruit trees. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and we were looked after by the lovely stuff. We especially want to mention Kadek, the main caretaker of the villas. He is a gentle soul, so lovely and kind, and he helped us with every request we had (from driving us to the beach, organising motorbikes, bringing delicious fruit from the garden, etc…). And he is a fab cook too! Most nights, we had dinner at their restaurant. The food is delicious, fresh, local and lovingly prepared. Every day, our breakfast was served at our villa. We enjoyed fresh fruit salads and fruit juices (from the surrounding trees), pancakes (the boys highlight), omelettes or nasi goreng. We felt like in paradise. During the day, we would either swim in the pool or explorer the nearby beaches (either walking or with a motor bike). There is plenty to do, you can find different restaurants, little shops and hotels within within walking distance. Amed is a good place to be. Its quiet and not as mad as some of the more popular beaches in Bali. There are plenty of beautiful beaches around Marina Villa's, great for snorkelling and swimming.
We also had the pleasure to meet Marina, the owner of the Villa’s. You can truly feel her passion for Amed and her Villa’s. All there is left to say is ‘thank you’ Marina and stuff, we had the most amazing holiday and hopefully, we will be able to come back very soon! Oh, I nearly forgot, thanks as well for organising a goodbye evening for us with a delicious balinese buffet and balinese dancing.
