Your little cottage was so peaceful, green, well kept…like little paradise. Inside of the house was small but well organized, comfortable, and feel safe.
When coming back to the cottage at night in a complete dark neighborhood, little gate lights were on, few more lights in the property were also on to make us feel at home and safe!
We surprised, but enjoyed when we saw wild pig visited the yard during the early morning to eat fruits on the ground.
Perfect cottage for couple, but a bit small for family. ( BTW, As Michele commented, bring a lot of drinking water.)
Michael's cottage was on a wonderfully private and spacious property that really made it feel like you were in your own little oasis. A very nice place to unwind and relax in the hammock, or perfect home base if you are visiting the surrounding areas of Hilo. The interior was exactly as the photos showed, no surprises there. I recommend this location if you are looking for a nice, private, relaxing stay between Hilo and Pahoa.
Great location! 20 minutes of Hilo and the airport and 40 minutes of the volcano. Exacly like the pictures and as describe. Bed was to smooth for us, but sheet was clean. Place was relatively clean, but to much carpets and place mat every where for a rental place, to keep place clean as I like to. Only one glass of wine, and no wine opener. We had to go to the house next door to had one... But in general, we had every things we needed in the kitchen. We saw few bugs near the sink, under it and in a drawer. Great cover patio with some places to sit, it was raining most of the time when we was there. Practicle to have private washer/dry on site. 4 beach towels and enough in the bathroom, all clean. They had 2 chairs (one beach and an other in a bag) Internet is available, but most of the time it's long just to load a simple page! No phone too. Each time we talks with the onwers, answers was quick. Over all a good experience and a good value.
We enjoyed staying in this house. It was cozy and the surrounding is a real paradise. Everything was as described in the picture or even better. The location is a plus. Close to Hilo airport and the volcano. Communication with Michael before we arrive and after was easy. The only down thing is that we had to clean the house when we have already paid the cleaning fees. But overall, we had a very pleasant stay.
Communication was very good with Michael for this last minute booking. He gave me great directions and the cottage was just as depicted in the pictures. Very lovely private 2-acre property. Thank you Michael.
