Loft living in the heart of hip Williamsburg. Relax in a private room of a spacious 2-BR loft, shared with a long-time veteran of the neighborhood who is happy to offer directions and suggestions. Close to subway, 5 minutes to Manhattan, great area.
Settle into your own private room and work space in a spacious and stylish loft on one of the best blocks in the Burg. Ideal location - just a 3-minute walk from the Bedford stop on the L train, which will get you to Union Square in Manhattan in 5 minutes. You can also catch the East River Ferry from the nearby North 6th Pier.
On North 9th St., you are in the center of it all but still on a quiet, tree-lined block. The high street of Bedford Avenue is two short blocks away, and one block in the other direction is gorgeous East River State Park. You’ll be perfectly positioned to take in the neighborhood’s countless cool bars, restaurants, boutiques and events.
As for the space, the loft is on the 3rd floor of a former factory building. In all it is approximately 1,100 square feet (102M sq.), with 12-foot (3.6M) ceilings throughout, a huge common living room space with Manhattan and Brooklyn views, and a massive roof deck with sweeping views of the East River and Manhattan skyline.
The bedroom is about 11’x12’ (12M+) with a 12’ ceiling, a sliding barn-door, queen size bed, and a wall of shelving, closet space and hooks for all your belongings. It is freshly painted and freshly furnished with everything you’ll need including European plug adaptors and a hairdryer. It is one of two bedrooms in the space (not a multi-roommate flophouse situation.)
In addition to the room, you will also have use of a large steel desk and file cabinet in the shared office area, a good place from which to work or catch up on emails.
There are two washers and two dryers at the end of the hall which are FREE, so you won’t have to haul your clothes to a laundromat.
There is a large freight elevator right outside the apartment, so no matter how much luggage you have getting it into the apartment will be a breeze.
The open kitchen is fully functional and I have all of the basics if you should feel like cooking for yourself. I also keep coffee, espresso, tea and breakfast supplies on hand that you can help yourself to - granola bars, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc.
As a host I am easy-going, fun to be around, and out a lot of the time. I work during the day and go out most evenings. I can be as engaged or distant as you need me to be. I can take you out for drinks or send you off on your own.
Any other questions? Ask me!!

Interaction with Guests
I'm happy to give you as much or little input as you want or need. I know the neighborhood and city very well and am happy to point you in the right direction.
The Bedford Avenue stop of the L train is just a 4 minute walk away. From there you are 5 minutes from Union Square in the middle of Manhattan.
Enjoy yourself and the city!
Don't sweat the small stuff. I will clean up after you go. That said, basic hygiene and tidiness are much appreciated.
I will have a cleaning person come every 1-2 weeks and between each stay, but they don't do laundry. You are free to wash your own clothes, sheets & towels down the hall as frequently as you like. (Sheets/towels will be clean upon your arrival, obviously :)
Smoking is allowed in moderation next to or out the open window in the living room, but not in any other area of the apartment, including your bedroom.
I try to be as eco-friendly as is reasonably possible. Please turn off lights, fans, unused appliances, etc. when you go out. Please also utilize the recycling bins for disposables.
Please remember that someone else lives here too and it is not a hotel. Mutual respect, yo.
If something is not what you expected or unsatisfactory, please tell me immediately. Don't stew about it and then write me a bad review after the fact. I aim to please, so speak up!. Be cool, be open minded and have a great time!
Anne is a lovely host, very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and cozy and very well situated. In a few minutes by subway you are in Manhattan. I really enjoyed the stay at Anne's apartment.
We enjoyed our stay at Anne's place! It is a very nice appartment and a cosy bedroom. Anne is very friendly and welcoming. We felt like home. There is nothing that could have been better. We would always prefer Williamsburg, as this is a very nice area with lots of cosy/cool bars and restaurants. Short way to Manhatten and a wonderful view of the skyline at night. We would love to stay at Anne's place again, next time we're going to New York.
Cheryl and I enjoyed the stay with Anne. She met us at the door, which helped since the cab had a hard time finding the loft. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. We spent most of the time visiting with our children, and did not see Anne much. When we were in our room, it did not seem like Anne was home. She left early and came home late. The time spent with Anne was enjoyable, since she is an agreeable person.
Anne was a great host. She's very nice and friendly, making herself available for questions and very helpful with local spots in the area. Her place is better than the photos. The room is very nice and comfortable. The location is excellent - right in the heart of Williamsburg. The only downside is the walls are pretty thin and you can hear people walking on the squeaky floors in the hallway outside. So for light sleepers this isn't ideal. Otherwise this place is better than advertised.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Williamsburg at Anne's apartment. The location couldn't have been better - great restaurants and the Bedford metro stop were just a couple blocks away. We enjoyed having a quiet neighborhood to come back to after spending our days at busy Manhattan museums. Anne was a kind and welcoming host and we'd definitely stay again.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Anne's place for nearly a week. The loft was amazing, located close to the cafes, shops and subway station. I liked that the loft was very clean and tidy. Anne was very friendly and helpful when it came to advising us on where to go for breakfast or dinner etc. I liked having a local who could help us out. We were out and about mostly during the day so we didn't see Anne much.
If we ever go back to NYC, we would definitely like to stay at Anne's again.
Anne's loft was amazing, perfect location, very warm , clean and a super comfy bed too. We didn't see Anne much because we were out a lot but when we did see her, she was very helpful and accommodating. Anne even has a really cool little guidebook she made which gives you really great advice on where to eat and drink too.We would definitely stay at Anne's loft again.
