The Space

The apartment was repainted and refurbished. There is 1 x 42 inch TV T. The neighborhood is quiet peaceful but very close to Silom Road (about a 10 minute walk). Also within a 12 minute walk is Lumpini Park--Bangkok's main recreational park.

A Very Spacious 1 Bedroom Apartment comfortably accommodates 2 people. Good light and open feel. Original wood flooring.

WE ARE LOCATED WITHIN A SHORT WALKING DISTANCE OF 2 BTS STOPS. WE ARE NOT LOCATED "DOWN THE SOI" AND REQUIRE A SHUTTLE TO TAKE YOU TO BTS

An thoroughly clean and well-maintained space, this quiet 60 sq meter 1 large Bedroom 1 full bath apartment includes:

-Master Bedroom---1 Queen size bed high quality linen and a light down feather duvet, TV and wonderful pool view. Jim Thompson Fabric Curtains are "black-out" material so if you want to sleep late no light will come into the bedroom (if you don't want it to ). The sun can be bright in the morning

-Fully functional and furnished living room includes a 2 seat sofa coffee table and a reading lamp

-- Dining Room table comfortably seats 3

-Fully equipped kitchen with 2 burner stove top and cooking equipment hot water maker refrigerator 4, plates, bowls, cups and glasses, silverware etc. The refrigerator is full size with refrigerator and freezer compartments.

-Fast Wi--FI and cable TV with a variety of channels

DVD PLAYER and a good selection of English Language movies

- Selection of English language books, area maps and local information.

Guest Access

The apartment is located right off of Sathorn Road which is know as the "Financial District" of Bangkok So you are truly in the heart of the city.

WE ARE LOCATED WITHIN A SHORT WALKING DISTANCE OF BTS. WE ARE NOT LOCATED DOWN THE SOI AND REQUIRE A SHUTTLE TO TAKE YOU TO BTS

Silom is just 5 minutes walk away as are 2 BTS (Skytrain) stops and 2 MRT (Subway). The unit is located just around the corner from the Australian Embassy and across the street from the renowned BNH Hospital on Soi Convent. Lumpini Park is just a short 10 minute walk. The Chao Praya River is just 2 BTS stops to Sathorn Pier. This boat will take you to the Grand Palace, Wat Po, or Kao San Road (Bangkok's renown "backpacker" area)..

PREMIUM BUILDING AND LOCATION

The building is a well known building in the area and was built by the ubiquitous San Siri development company whose reputation for building and maintaining quality properties is known throughout Bangkok. Facilities include a concierge service, swimming pool with small children's pool, fitness and steam sauna room, game room.

LAUNDRY: If you prefer to use a laundry service we can arrange to have your laundry picked up. The service generally includes washing, drying, and fold price of a about 50 Baht per Kg.. Please call June to arrange.

HOW GET TO THE APARTMENT:

As a point of reference, we are located right next to the Marriott Sathorn Vista Apartments around the corner from the Australian Embassy

Time of arrival may influence how you get to the apartment:

Option A Taxi from Airport-- 350 Baht plus toll 90 baht) About 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. This is the best option if you have heavy luggage

Option B IF IT IS RUSH HOUR WE SUGGEST the Airport Link from Suvarnabhumi airport to Paya Thai Change to BTS and exit at Sala Daeng. Then take a taxi to Sou Suan Plu. 30 minutes from Airport.

Option C We can also arrange to have you picked up--cost approximately 800 baht

The location of the apartment is at the corner of Soi Suan Plu and Sathorn Road. For the taxi say sa-torn soy soon plu. We are happy to send you a PDF map.

Interaction with Guests

June is available anytime you may have questions and is a Bangkok native. There is 24 security and an English speaking building manager usually available. Also on site secured parking (1 space) Car rental services are available close by on Sathorn Road and daily rates,start at about 1500 baht. There is also a Hertz Rental down the street. June also used a driver and van service for family trips which costs about 1800 baht per day with driver. Gas and tolls are extra. The van comfortably seats 8 people. This is an ideal options if you plan to go to Ayuttuya, Hua Hinn or Pattaya. June also can suggest a reputable travel agency on Silom Road, A AND F Travel. They have and extensive English speaking staff and are have staff fluent in German as well.

The owners are working in Bangkok and June was born in Bangkok has traveled extensively in Thailand and South-East Asia. If you are in need of any help with restaurants, local attractions, SIM Cards or anything at all June is very knowledable and is there to help.

The Neighborhood

Why staying in a convenient area is important:

Our Building is located within walking distance of BTS. There is no "shuttle" to take you down the soi as everything is conveniently.located

The Sathorn area is quiet and peaceful, but exceptionally convenient being right in the center of town. Just a short walk to Silom Road where you will find major supermarkets and Silom Complex a shopping mall which offers and array of traditional restaurants and a branch of Central Department Store. Silom Road also has many travel agencies and other amenities. Within just minutes of the apartment there are major 5 star hotels such as Sofitel, Sukothai, Metropolitan, Banyan Tree, Dusit Thani, and the "W" hotel. The Australian Embassy and the Embassy of Singapore are located down the street. The US Embassy, Embassy of the Netherlands and Embassy of Japan are located on Wireless Road which is about a 10 minute taxi ride. Often visitors who come to Bangkok choose between what is known as the Silom Area or the Sukhumvit Area as these are the most convenient areas to stay in terms of being close to attractions (and public transportation) and the city center. While there are options further away from the city center, traffic in Bangkok can be horrible during rush hour.Staying in a good, central location often saves time and frustrations.
