Casa Mijaran 1 is a traditional Aran-style two-storey house with garden, located in the old quarter of Vielha, in the heart of the capital of the Aran Valley.
With fantastic views of the River Nere, surrounded by mountains, the house is the perfect place for enjoying the Valley from the capital Vielha. It offers the best and largest variety of shops and most traditional bars and restaurants.
Mijaran 1 is distributed over two floors. Access is through a magnificent 80m2 garden (shared with Mijaran III), with complete garden furniture. The dining/living room and a separate, fully equipped modern kitchen are found on the ground floor.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with whirlpool massage tub. There are two more bedrooms on the first floor, each with two single beds. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.
Mijaran 1 offers a private parking place included in the price.
The apartment is close to a number of the valleys most traditional bars and restaurants, in addition to museums such as the Museu Etnológic de Vielha (ethnographic museum) and La Fábrica de la Lana (wool factory), shops, cinema, gym, ice skating rink, etc.
The Baqueira Beret ski resort is 14 km away. The resort can be reached by car or by bus, which stops just 200m from the (website hidden) description:
Vielha, the capital of the Val d’Aran (Pyrenees), is a small town situated at 974 metres above sea level. It has a population of about 4000 inhabitants. Surrounded by over 2000 metres high mountains, Vielha started growing in the valley, where the Garona River meets the Nere River. It borders on the Alto Aran municipality at North and East; on Vilaller, after crossing the over 5 kms. long tunnel of Vielha, at South; and on France (Alta Garona department) and the town of Es Bòrdes at West.
It is one of the main tourist points in the Pyrenees. There are modern facilities all over, including luxurious houses and apartments specially designed for you to enjoy an unforgettable winter holiday.
The new streets and buildings make up an interesting commercial area where the visitor will find all sort of shops. There are stores specializing in adventure, winter and high mountain sports, crafts and typical products from the Val d’Aran and the Pyrenees, first need goods and services, fashion shops, supermarkets and banks. There is also a modern hospital and a large sports centre with swimming pools, ice rink, a gym, etc. The wide avenues found here contrast with the old narrow streets and houses found in the old area of Vielha, where all types of restaurants and bars are gathered.
The Church of Sant Miquel, dedicated to the Saint who was also a prince, forms together with the Town Hall, the Tourist Information Office and the Post Office, the town centre. Inside the Church is possible to see the valuable sculpture of the Cristo de Mijaran.
It is possible to take some very beautiful walks from Vielha, like the Camín Reiau; in one direction towards the Alto Aran, in the other, towards the Medio and Bajo Aran. Just outside Vielha, on the way to France, one can see the ruins of the Mijaran sanctuary and the new church.
The national road N-230 links the town of Vielha and the Valle de Aran with France; going South through the tunnel of Vielha and East through the Bonaigua pass, which often is closed in the winter due to the heavy snowfalls.
But if what you want is go skiing, Vielha is perfect as it is just 15 kms. away from the ski resort of Baqueira Beret, a 15 minute drive along the road C-28.

Excellent location. You literally fall out into central area of shops, bakeries, restaurants and bars. Modern, clean, quiet flat containing all the necessities. Flat was excellent in terms of value, location, cleanliness and function. Apartment is one of many in the portfolio of organisation but response to queries was immediate and sincere effort made to fix any issues. Would we stay here again? Absolutely.
Potential negatives: parking lot is a 10 minute walk away. However, car and contents were safely looked after.

Les photos de l'intérieur de l'appartement sont fidèles mais Juan a oublié de préciser que l'appartement se trouve sous un bar restaurant bruyant de 9h00 à 2h00 du matin le samedi. De plus le local permettant de stocker les frigos et les bouteilles du bar touche le sejour de l'appartement et un monte charge bruyant fonctionne régulièrement. Nous ne pouvons pas vous conseiller cet appartement, nous sommes d'ailleurs en litige avec Juan pour obtenir un dédommagement pour nous avoir caché des choses lors de la location. Les chambres donnent en rez de chaussée sous une passerelle menant au bar, les clients jettent leurs cigarettes devant vos portes fenêtres. Nous sommes à votre disposition si vous souhaitez des photos.

Fantastic clean, modern apartment, right in the heart of the city. We loved staying here, the apartment had everything you could need and was easy to get to all the major sights in San Sebastian from the apartment. Juan was very helpful and prompt with his replies. Thanks Juan for a great stay, highly recommend this apartment to anyone.
Muy buena localización, vistas maravillosas. Se puede ir andando a la silla. Los apartamentos están bien equipados, son comfortables y acogedores. Los dormitorios son razonables de espacio y el salón está muy bien. Eramos dos familias y alquilamos Nin 1 y Nin 3. Están en el mismo bloque, lo cual es muy cómodo. Tienen garaje, aunque una de las plazas es algo estrecha para un coche grande.
Un plus muy interesante es que tenía un guardaesquí al lado del remonte.
