A comfortable and spacious room with character and high ceilings in a turn of the century townhouse centrally located in Williamsburg. Very private and quiet and just a couple of blocks from the east river. Close to the subways and Manhattan
From $69. This is a sweet and charming bedroom right in the middle of Williamsburg.
I have INSTANT BOOK so there is no need to ask if the place is available. If it is free on the calendar then it is free for booking.
The room measures 15' x 14' so is a very generous space. Queen size bed.
Very secure with a locked door.
There is complimentary tea and coffee to get you going in the mornings and a mini fridge. The bathroom will be shared with 1 other room. We clean the bathroom regularly and make sure that our guests are well looked after. This place really is right where you want to be in Williamsburg.
No cooking facilities but there are fantastic cafes and restaurants within the surrounding blocks with prices varying from budget and on upwards. Most people eat out anyway since the food is so good here.
We also have a similar smaller listing in the same house and both can be booked simultaneously for large parties.
Wifi. Mini fridge in the hallway. Coffee and tea. Hairdryer and clothes iron. There is a laundromat right across the street.
Interaction with Guests
We share the space downstairs and are always out and about. We're very happy to meet new people and give good advice about exploring the city.
I also believe that you'll just want us out of the way so you can enjoy your stay in Brooklyn.
As a matter of security, I also ask that you fill your profile out fully and add a picture before inquiring about a stay. I do not accept bookings from blank profiles. Thanks!
Williamsburg is a wonderful neighborhood. I've lived here for about 20 years and have seen it morph from an interesting backwater to the modern exciting area it is now.
It is a safe neighborhood.
There are tons of great bars and cafes and restaurants close to us including Diner, Marlow and sons and Lucky dog bar to name but a couple.
We're about 3 blocks from the water where you can catch a picturesque ferry ride to manhattan. Subways are a few blocks walk away and there is lots of free and safe street parking available.
The L and JMZ trains are a few minutes walk away. There is free parking on the street and ferries to Manhattan are close by. Bus service right on Bedford ave.
The taxi ride from JFK will be about $40. From LaGuardia it's about $25. There is also a train service from JFK airport which takes about an hour and costs about $7.
Other Things to Note
Spare sheets and towels are available.
No smoking . No shoes in the house.
We keep a tidy house and would like it to be returned in the same shape as you find it. Please be considerate of the neighbors and be quiet and low key. We appreciate peace and quiet from our guests.
No guests of guests.
Since we have painted floors we have a 'no shoes policy' in the rooms
It was a great pleasure to spend my 9 nights in New York at Ken and Jasmins house. The room was very nice, the area safe and cool, Manhattan is just a walk away, if you visit, take a walk over the Williamsburg bridge, it is stunning. The room is very private, but cosy to know that the family is just a floor below. They were very helpful, welcoming and warm, would love to stay with them again.
Ken is nice and the apt is clean. The bed is comfortable. It is about ten minutes walk from the subway. Generally it's ok~
Kenneth and Jasmine are both wonderful. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a cup of tea to warm me from the icy NYC weather. Their home and the room is stunningly decorate. It is large and spacious and was impeccably clean. Kenneth and Jasmine saw to it that I was always comfortable during my stay. The apartment itself is in the perfect location between to metro stops and is surrounded by great restuarants and bars. The neighborhood is wonderful and was always greeted with the idea of returning to a home after the hustle and bustle of the city life. I would would definitely return to this listing. I would highl recommend it to anyone coming in to the big apple. It is conveniently located, it is extremely comfortable and I was highly impressed. Best experience I have had on AirBnb thus far.
Ken was very helpful and friendly and the room is great - private, lockable door, a shared fridge. Very comfy bed. Ken had kindly provided information and maps of the local area, and tea and coffee.
The location is great - very easy to get in to Manhattan and also lots of fun shops, restaurants etc locally.
The only minor downside is that the room is quite light and noisy at night (not too surprising in NYC!), so light sleepers might want to take an eye-mask/ear-plugs.
We had a great time at Kenneth's. As the room has a sort of independent entrance you feel that you''re in your own apartment when you're there. The room is large and full of light. Both the room and the bathroom were super clean.
The house is 7 minutes away from the metro station and the neighborhood offers a large variety of restaurants.
We'll consider coming back to Kenneth's place next time we're in NYC.
Ken and Jasmine were great hosts and the room was very sunny, clean and quiet. A great place from which to experience Williamsburg and only one subway stop from lower Manhattan.
