A charming room for rent at Dar Adam, Fez medina. The property is situated in one of the best neighborhoods of the old Medina of Fez. Yet only 5 minutes walk from Talaa Sghira and Talaa Kbira streets with all the fabulous markets and craft workshops.
Very cozy room in a lovely traditional Moroccan riad.
The property and rooms are very clean and comfortable.
Shared bathroom and WC.
Heating system available.
The neighborhood is very quiet and well-known as one of the best of Fez medina with luxury riads and palaces. A couple of good food and drink places are available within a few minutes walk.
Non smoking rooms
The space was clean and well-kept. The common area was really cool-looking--as advertised in the photos. Sanaa (sp?) and Mohamed were both extremely hospitable welcoming. They helped us make dinner reservations and even escorted us to the restaurant so we wouldn't get lost. I would gladly stay here again. Oh, and the views from the roof terrace were phenomenal! I just love that word right now.
We had a great stay at Sarahs place. We didn't get to meet her in person but correspondence was good and clear. Instead Sanaa was there to welcome us. She was really sweet and kind.
The room was bigger than we thought and the house was very spacious and decorative.
The area was nice and more quiet than other parts of the Medina which was nice. It was walking distance to all sights situated within the Medina.
We had a lovely stay and I would happily recommend others to stay there.
I stayed two nights in this riad and found it clean, spacious and comfortable. Being a single traveller, I was nicely surprised by the size of the room I was given (the room was supposedly for two people).
Being inside medina, the location is great for sightseeing. With Sarah and Mohammed's direction and help, I had no problem finding it on arrival and getting around in Fes.
The host, Sanna is particularly nice. She was always around and very helpful.
I definitely will want to stay here again if I go back to Fes.
Sanaa was adorable. It seemed to me pretty weird to be messaging a girl, i. e. Sarah, who I would have probably never seen. Yet, she was always ready to answer my questions about no-matter-what.
Sarah offered to book a taxi to pick us up from the airport. We didn't realize it was the best and easiest way to get to the Riad and we ended up into an abusive taxi driver's car. Not nice. I would rather follow her information next time. You guys do that, even if it seems something for tourists without character.
The room was very clean and comfortable, the position is perfect for visiting the Medina and is not far from the doors of the Medina, where you can grab a taxi and get anywhere you like.
You'd better get a map as soon as you can, because children and teenagers easily catch you and ask for money to bring you where your destination is. They would also try bringing you to a friend of theirs who has a restaurant for lunch. Not nice! The first kid who caught us ran away quicker than light when he saw a policeman wearing plain clothes. It was fun and scary.
Breakfast was delicious, even if its price was European, it's worth trying.
The bathroom is wonderful for the Moroccan standard, even if the water flows slowly and the hot water soon ends. You've got to wake up a little earlier to get a hot shower before someone else uses all of it. I guess this is something not due to Sanaa, but just to Moroccan facilities that experience problems of this sort into the Old Medina.
We found just one towel for the three of us in our room and I wasn't said I had to bring one. I probably should have imagined it, but I didn't. My friends had their own so I was alright using Sanaa's.
Sanaa was always smiley, happy, cheerful. She's got a good English and a perfect French. We even took a picture with her. We loved her and really hope to see her again. She helped us anyway she could at any time we needed. She's the perfect host.
The Riad is beautiful and fascinating. We've been to several restaurants with roof terraces, but none is as beautiful as the one on top of Sanaa's house.
I would go back to Fes just to stay some more days at Sanaa's.
Loved this place.
