Great location

We make our farmhouse available for small groups, families, or visitors seeking a comfortable, welcoming, and creative space.

Please Note: We also list individual rooms which may be available even if this listing is not. Feel free to message us about available rooms.

With beautiful farmland and forest trails, we are located in Maine, USA, just minutes away from cultural attractions, boat landings, and the Canadian border. Our comfortable home is a great way to explore the St. John Valley.

The space
Skylandia Farm has been an organic farm for over 24 years. We currently manage about 360 acres of sustainable woodlands. Forty acres are in organic oats and cover crops. The farmhouse is 70 years old and was built by Hector Dumais. Our family bought the house from his son Valier Dumais and we have poured our exuberance and love into it for over twenty years. In summer 2018, we will finish restoring the outside, putting up cedar shingles. The inside of the farmhouse is decorated with original artwork in murals, paintings, and hanging art. We have an upright piano (that you may play!) from our grandmother, and an impressive collection of well-thumbed books of all genres.

Guest access
In addition to the comfortable bedrooms, you'll be able to use the spacious kitchen, make conversation or watch movies in the living room, leave your boots and coats in the mud room, and enjoy a meal or just relax on the sun porch. You can walk around on our 500 acres of land and enjoy the trails and farm roads that wind through fields, along beaver ponds, and through the spruce and hardwood forests.

We are located on Route 1, which is the main road through the St. John Valley. Your closest neighbors are around the bends of the road, either one tenth or a quarter mile away. It is a quiet and beautiful rural setting. The St. John Valley is a French Acadian area, and there are many unique aspects to the valley.
