It's just one roundabout from Pisa, on the Arno riverbank or flood levee. Massimo is very nice and helpful. There was water shortage in the mornings. You need a car to get there, and the parking lot is quite awkward.
Very good stay and very nice host - Massimo. The room is very nice and has a view over the Pisa Tower. Good value for money. Nice garden, cats and company. We had a great time enjoing wine and local antipasto together.
Massimo is very kind and helpful.
The location a bit far for me.
Max and Gemma are very kindly, helpful and friendly persons. We (2 adults+ 6 years old child) spent very nice time in familiar atmosphere.
Good apartment is located close the Pisa city.
I had a good time at Massimos. My trip to Pisa was short but sweet. The place was a bit out of the way but thankfully he was helpful with rides We had a language barrier at first but then we realized we both spoke french! Overall good stay.
Massimo was a generous and pleasant host! He is a crusty, utopian intellectual (just as I was hoping he would be!), and he is very laid back, reminding me of friends from the university town where I live. A friend of his who was visiting him was also very warm and bright, and I so enjoyed hearing her sing. She was really kind to me. I only wish the Italian in my head didn't come out of my mouth in Spanish, because I would have enjoyed conversing with them! His back yard and river are beautiful in the moonlight, and from the bathroom window, a special view from up high. One really important thing to know... Avoid taking the bus from the airport on the weekend at night. The bus only comes once an hour, and if you miss it you will be very late, making Massimo have to wait a long time. I felt terrbile about that. I thought I would be able to communicate with him by email when I arrived, because it worked at the airport in London, but and it didn't work in Pisa and I missed his email with pickup details, because the email arrived after I left London. He didn't know what had happened to me. Make sure you bring an international phone to Italy or consider taking a taxi instead perhaps. When you get there, you will be happy to be there. A very nice place!
Everything was ok, and in the morning we had coffee together.
We loved our stay with Massimo. He is a really nice person, we had nice conversations. He picked us up from the airport and went with us to eat the best ice cream in the city. Thank you for all your help and hope to see you again!
I booked with Massimo at the last minute and he was very gracious, picking me up at the train station and making me feel very welcome in his home. It was out in the country and he also made me dinner and did not charge me. It was delicious! He even gave me a ride to the airport the next morning for only 5 euro, which was very very cheap. I would have liked to have had a cleaner bathroom and kitchen, but again, I also booked the morning of my stay and he was away in the mountains all day.
