The cabin was wonderful! My girlfriend and I spent two nights there, and loved every minute of it. It's so cozy with the wood stove. It was a great experience, and the cabin is located within easy distance to downtown Winthrop and hiking trails.
We had a wonderful time at the Owl's Nest! The place was perfect--comfy bed, full kitchen and well equipped, and full bathroom. Best part: we could watch the snow fall out of the many windows. We had deer visitors early morning, too.
The location is great--close to Winthrop--and far enough away from neighbors where there's privacy, but close enough to be offered a ride when our car got stuck at the bottom of the hill. Great location for day trips to the surrounding areas, too.
Sarah called to check in with us our second day there to make sure everything was going well, and was a doll.
Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place for a quiet weekend away with a loved one. We *may* have gotten engaged on this trip. :)
The Owl's Nest Cabin was great for our quick 2 night getaway to the Methow Valley. Sarah was easy to get in contact with and she even offered us an extra night free because we lost about 5 hours with the closing of Hwy 20 the day of our departure.
The cabin was clean, well decorated, and well furnished (we cooked dinner our first night there). We were also pleasantly surprised that although temp got up to 90, the cabin stayed comfortable.
The area wasn't as remote as we had hoped, but it was remote enough to see deer cross through twice - so maybe our expectations are a bit high in that regard.
We highly recommend a stay at Owl's Nest and hope to check it out again in the winter.
What a lovely place to recharge and refresh. The Owl's nest provided me with just the atmosphere and quiet setting I was looking for. Thanks Sarah.

My partner and I had a lovely weekend at Sarah's cabin. It's clean, cozy and secluded but only a couple minutes from Winthrop and Twisp. On the drive into Winthrop there's a good antique store called Robins Egg Bleu that I recommend checking out.
Sarah has outfitted the cabin with all your basic necessities and the little kitchen is great for cooking.
It was hard to leave the comfort of the cabin and we had to force ourselves to get out and explore.
Definitely a worthwhile trip!
Great low key little cabin, perfect for a couple or small family. convenient to town and the east side of the north cascades,
Loved everything about our stay - the handcrafted pottery dishes, the hand-made soap in the bathroom, the fresh smelling soft sheets and comfy bed, the cool tile work and attention to details. You can tell that every decision on creating this experience from the artistic tile work to the beautiful cabinets to the decor was a labor of love. Thank you for sharing!
The Owl's Nest Cabin was exactly the right fit for our 3 night getaway. It is clean, well-appointed, comfortable and charming. A new lounge chair with foot rest on the porch worked well for our morning coffee and afternoon downtime. One afternoon a friendly sheepdog appeared and kept us company! After a day of cycling to Washington Pass we soaked our tired legs in the cool river, accessed just south of the turn-off to Hoot N Holler Lane. Perfect!
