Other Things to Note
As Bingin beach is located beneath a cliff, the path down can be difficult with heavy luggage, please pack light or we can hire a porter.
Also note we do not accept late check ins (arriving after 7 pm) as the path can be dangerous at night, due to the lack of light and steep steps.
lastly, mega and i will not always be there for the check in, we do try our best to catch up with you the next day or some point of your stay. We have our staff Kopral that will show you around. His english is not perfect and is quite shy, if somethings are left unclear please feel free to contact us and we are happy to help :)
please respect the house and your surrounding.
please do not leave open flame lying around as the house is made out of wood.
Please contact us directly if you need anything, even if it is questions like where to go for dinner !
Amazing! The place is wonderful, feels like in paradise. It's in the middle of nature, you can hear the sound of the waves. It's a very simple house, but one of the best experience we've ever made. We're all fell in love with the flat, the place and the people.
We (a group of 4+1 spontaneous guest) had a great time at Kubu Bingin! The location is really unique, and Bingin is one of the most attractive beaches of the peninsula. No masses of peoples, laychairs and umbrellas, just a really nice beach with some excellent Warungs!
Also, there is nothing better than just walking 10 steps to go to surf and having a post-surf Bintang on the terrace directly over the water.
If you have problems with many stairs or sleeping in a noisy environment (on high tide, the waves are clashing on the rocks under the house and you feel like on an oil rig), you _may_ think twice about this offer, but apart from this: We would definitely come back!
An unique experience...!!! Waking up with the sounds of the waves splashing around and to the beach house feels like you are part of the waves. Do you know all those nature soundtracks with sounds of birds, crickets etc? Well you have them also of the waves, but listening to it in real nature is far more beautiful! Damn! I loved it!
Mega and Rebecca are perfect hosts. If you need anything you can just call them and they will arrange it! They picked us up of the airport, which was really nice!!! Didn't want anything. I don't know if this always is the case, but we felt really welcome!
The way downstairs from the cliff to the beach house is ok if you are fit. If you are are a little bit old, please take care off your bags, because otherwise you will have to spend some energy ;-) However for young ones, just a little exercise, but all worth it!!!!
Mega and Rebecca can also give you very nice tips, that will increase the joy of your stay!
About facilities? Everything is there what you need! If you love the sea and the sounds of it, don't doubt it, just go for it!
Truly amazing! If you are going to stay in Bali this is definitely worth your time. The view from the bedroom is amazing. Enough space for us since we were with 2( house for 4). But with 4 people there is plenty room. I would definitively recommend this place. One thing worth mentioning are the stairs to the cottage. Pack light, or have your suitcases carried. Really friendly staff as well. Helpful and kind. Although Rebecca and Mega were on a holiday trip, they assisted us by answering all our questions if needed. Nothing but love for this people, cottage and of course Bali!
We had high expectations based off of photos and reviews, and Kubu Bungin did not disappoint! We stayed here twice during our trip to Bali, and wish we could stay longer. We will recommend to our friends and hopefully be back ourselves soon. Go to Kelly's or Swami's for great smoothies/breakfast/lunch. Check out Bingin Ombak Warung for fish BBQ and the best mei goreng we had on the island. Also if you want to spend a little more, El Kabron for sunset and tapas was amazing. You can ride a scooter there or walk if the tide is low enough.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kubu Bingin. You really can't beat the amazing views that you get - you are the closest as possible to the beach. Having said that, this is a very surf oriented beach, and if you don't surf this may not be as enjoyable. The stairs are quite tricky also, especially with our heavy backpacks so it is something to be aware of. Unfortunately we never got to meet Mega and Rebecca but they were really easy to get ahold of and gave us a lot of great advice!
