An apartment in the heart of Dingle, a few minutes walk to the sea. It has one double bedroom, one single bedroom. The living room and full kitchen are combined. It is a quiet space with free wifi, no TV and invites you to rest and BE.
Besides the two separate bedrooms there is also a sofa bed in the living room. But as the Flat is small I'd like to usually rent it to two people only.
There is a dehumidifier in the flat as well as electric heaters for cooler weather.
The Flat has a separate entrance and no amenities have to be shared. At times the garden of the Meditation Centre can be used.
Interaction with Guests
I like to know my guests, but I would usually not have much interaction. I would usually be available for advice and support if necessary.
The neighborhood is generally quiet and peaceful. The Flat faces the back of John Street.
Getting around by foot is best in Dingle, but to explore the western part of the Peninsula you'll need a car or rent a bycicle in town.
Other Things to Note
There's a new beautiful Gym right beside the Little Flat. Private parking is available beside the Flat.
I'm open to give a special rate for those who travel alone and stay by themselves in the flat.
I expect guests to be respectful and take care of the Little Flat. As it is at times used for people who come here to meditate it has a special energy which I like to be maintained. Smoking is not allowed, but there is outside space for it. A small dog might be allowed at times, but there are several cats in the neighborhood, so it would have to be supervised at all times.
Eva was helpful and welcoming. She met us and guided us to the flat once we arrived in Dingle. She filled us in on the heating system, w/d, etc. The listing description and photos are accurate. This funky little flat worked perfectly for our visit to Dingle, Inch Beach (Eva's excellent suggestion), and the Dingle Peninsula. It is very convenient to restaurants, pubs with great traditional music, groceries, and shopping.
Enjoyed our stay in EVA's little flat. Not as little as we were expecting. Very close to everything and EVA was very helpful and friendly.
Eva was a great host and made us feel very welcome on our weekend visit to Dingle. There were so many lovely touches -she even left us a box of chocolates as we were there for Valentine's Day! The apartment was lovely- cosy and warm, with a very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds, as well as a lovely bathroom. The location was perfect. Everything we needed was supplied
There was convenient parking, and we were only two minutes walk from the centre of town. A real bonus was that there was no traffic or noise from the street thus ensuring a great nights sleep. Overall a great experience and we would love to go back again!
Eva's flat was amazing! It was everything the description said and more. Prior to my arrival, Eva was very accommodating with arrival times and meeting me at the flat. I can't say enough about the location. It is nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the shops, but was less than a 5 minute walk into the main downtown area. I would highly recommend Eva's accommodations to anyone looking for a place in Dingle!
My stay at Eva's flat was wonderful! Starting from the moment I got off the bus in Dingle and Eva. Although it's less than a 10 minute walk, I appreciated that Eva was there to greet me and also made transporting my bags much easier.
A kind and considerate woman, Eva was wonderful from our first email communication until we said good-bye on my last day. She stayed in touch before my trip to make sure that she'd be there when I arrived. Throughout my stay we saw each other just a few times - which is too bad, because she is a lovely, interesting woman - but she was always making sure that everything was ok.
The flat is exactly what you see on the ad. It's quiet and you have the place entirely to yourself, but her place is just a few steps away if you would need anything. The wifi was a bit stubborn if I tried to access it from the living room, but it worked better from the bedroom.
The kitchen was a great plus - restaurants aren't cheap in Dingle. Garvey's Supervalu sells some take home and bake style meals that were delicious and economical - and the stove worked great.
Most people I am sure have commented on Eva's garden and sitting area - it's clear that she takes great pride in tending to it and it is a very relaxing setting.
The flat is ideally (email hidden) 5-10 minutes on foot you are anywhere you want to be in Dingle town, yet without all the noise from the pubs.
Next door to the flat is a gym - I didn't try to use it but probably they would make a deal for a daily/weekly pass.
What a wonderful five days I enjoyed at Eva's flat in Dingle. I will definitely stay at her place if I get the opportunity to visit Dingle again!
We loved this little apartment in the heart of Dingle! We cooked nice dinners in the kitchen each night and really felt at home and "off the road" while there. It is just a couple blocks from good music pubs and restaurants and across from the Sat. morning cattle and sheep auction, which was a surprise bonus to peek into. Being able to sit in Eva's back garden was also nice. The apartment is only a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station and the harbor. Eva was a most friendly, personable and helpful host. Our stay here was the highlight of a wonderful 2 weeks in Ireland.
Eva welcomed us upon our arrival and was an accommodating and gracious host. She showed us around the flat and her beautiful meditation garden. The neighborhood was very close knit and friendly. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable place to experience dingle.
I'm Swiss, living in Ireland since 2003. I'm running a little meditation center, teaching mindfulness meditation and stress reduction. I'm using the Annex for people to stay when they come on retreats, but as it is often not used and a lovely, simple space in the heart of Dingle, I'd like to offer it for those who come to visit this special area and who want a quiet space in town. The annex does not lend it self for partying, but rather for resting after a day out on one of the festivals or after hiking or exploring the area in other ways.I myself am hiking with the Dingle Hill Walking Club - visitors are welcome on our Sunday walks. I swim inside and when I'm really up for it also in the sea. I'm busy teaching and love my work. If you want to drop in to a meditation session, you are welcome to do so.
