About this listing
An apartment in the heart of Dingle, a few minutes walk to the sea. It has one double bedroom, one single bedroom. The living room and full kitchen are combined. It is a quiet space with free wifi, no TV and invites you to rest and BE.
Besides the two separate bedrooms there is also a sofa bed in the living room. But as the Flat is small I'd like to usually rent it to two people only.
There is a dehumidifier in the flat as well as electric heaters for cooler weather.
The Flat has a separate entrance and no amenities have to be shared. At times the garden of the Meditation Centre can be used.
Interaction with Guests
I like to know my guests, but I would usually not have much interaction. I would usually be available for advice and support if necessary.
The neighborhood is generally quiet and peaceful. The Flat faces the back of John Street.
Getting around by foot is best in Dingle, but to explore the western part of the Peninsula you'll need a car or rent a bycicle in town.
Other Things to Note
There's a new beautiful Gym right beside the Little Flat. Private parking is available beside the Flat.
I'm open to give a special rate for those who travel alone and stay by themselves in the flat.
I expect guests to be respectful and take care of the Little Flat. As it is at times used for people who come here to meditate it has a special energy which I like to be maintained. Smoking is not allowed, but there is outside space for it. A small dog might be allowed at times, but there are several cats in the neighborhood, so it would have to be supervised at all times.
The Little Flat was everything I expected and more. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, good sized shower and beautiful garden. The flat was spotless too and deliciously quiet. I was welcomed and settled in on time and Blaithin was a fount of local knowledge. I ate in four great restaurants, all within 200 yards. The walk to the harbour winds through the town past eateries, craft shops and galleries. I would stay in the little flat again. Here's to my next Dingle experience.
We certainly enjoyed our stay in Eva's flat. Her friend, Blaithin, welcomed us and showed us all the ropes. She was very helpful, including mailing some items we left behind to our next destination.
We really enjoyed our visit at Eva's place!!! The apt is located in a safe area of Dingle within a very short walking distance from the town center. Dingle itself is beautiful and cozy - we met nice people everywhere that welcomed us in a very friendly way and were helpful whenever we needed any advice. A must do is the Dingle Pub which was our favorite pub during our whole trip through Ireland!!! Great place with live music! In the apt. we have been welcomed by Eva's friend as Eva herself could not be there. Her friend, however, was the perfect host, very helpful, informative about Dingle and sights on the Dingle peninsula and she was warm and welcoming. We were given a cozy apt which was simply perfect for our needs. We loved the place and it was a good feeling like "coming home" after a long day with sights and new impressions. We can absolutely recommend Eva's apt!!! Thanks for some great days in Dingle!!! :-)
Eva's Little Flat was fantastic. It was exactly as advertised - very homey, warm, and welcoming. I absolutely loved Eva's garden. It was so peaceful and was a respite at the end of every day. My only regret was that I did not get to meet Eva, as she was out of the country. But she had her friend, Blaithin, meet me at the bus and take me to the flat and make sure I was familiar with everything.
I spent a week at the flat and could not have asked for a better accommodation! Well done Eva, and thank you for sharing your Little Flat!
Eva's place is in a fantastic location to downtown Dingle. We were able to walk downtown for sightseeing dining and listening to Irish music.
Eva was helpful and her place had everything we needed. She even gave us some fresh lettuce from her garden. It was in an ideal location for visiting Dingle. Dingle is the most picturesque spot in Ireland in our opinion.
About the Host, Eva
I'm Swiss, living in Ireland since 2003. I'm running a little meditation center, teaching mindfulness meditation and stress reduction. I'm using the Annex for people to stay when they come on retreats, but as it is often not used and a lovely, simple space in the heart of Dingle, I'd like to offer it for those who come to visit this special area and who want a quiet space in town. The annex does not lend it self for partying, but rather for resting after a day out on one of the festivals or after hiking or exploring the area in other ways.I myself am hiking with the Dingle Hill Walking Club - visitors are welcome on our Sunday walks. I swim inside and when I'm really up for it also in the sea. I'm busy teaching and love my work. If you want to drop in to a meditation session, you are welcome to do so.
