Sharr's place was awesome. The area surrounding Casa Camaleon is very laid back. There are many restaraunts and bars in the vicinity although I highly recommend you rent a bike if you dont have a car. Kristi the main host is awesome! She will make sure you have everything you need from transportation, laundry, surf lessons and clean towels! We are very pleased we chose playa grande and casa camaleon.

Our stay at Casa Cameleon was great. The apartment was super cute and clean with everything we needed. A nice firm mattress, good quality sheets and pillows and fresh towels...these things make a difference! Kristi the location manager was very available and helpful in any way we needed...we kind of showed up without a prior text and she was there to welcome us within minutes. Being the start of low season,it was quiet in the area but there were still great options for eating and the proximity to the beautiful beach was awesome. I also really liked that a couple of places in the neighborhood allowed us pool access- that was an unexpected perk. There was a good selection of surf boards available to rent...and boogie boards too! We so enjoyed our 3 days at Sharrs, would definitely visit again.

The apartments were great!! However, what made the experience over the top was the service from Kristi who is the property manager. She met us during check-in, gave us a ton of tips, and hooked us up with surf boards and went through activities we were interested in doing. She had great recommendations and even booked one of our day trips, which ended up being AMAZING! She was beyond awesome. It was crazy hot in CR when we visited, but the apt has great AC. It's only about a 3-5 minute walk to the beach and some great restaurants. The only downfall to the location is that its about 30 minute drive from Tamarindo, which is the bigger town with the nightlife. But again, anytime we wanted to go there Kristi helped us get a taxi. I prefer staying in a little more remote/private area anyways.

The place itself was nice and Kristi was great. The beach is about a 10 minute gravel road walk (not a few steps away on a shaded path) and the restaurants/store are about 15. To get to Tamarindo it's about a 20+ minute walk and then a short boat ride that stops running at 5:00 (if you miss the boat it's a 45min/ $40 taxi). Bikes were available to rent our third day, which was a plus, but they are $10 each a day. The surrounding area is very quiet and secluded which we liked, but the restaurant's in the vicinity are very expensive. We found the restaurant's/bar's closer in to Playa Grande(30+ minute walk along the beach) were more affordable. All in all the place was nice and quiet, but just a few details were left out or incorrect in the ad.

If I can surf every day its a day well spent. The ocean is a place that lets you leave feeling new. I cannot live without it.
I am so grateful to have found my home here. It is near perfect paradise!
