The space

Penthouse suite (top two floors) with private roof deck featuring a propane grill and patio furniture in a historic brownstone on Beacon Hill. Near Charles Street, Mass General Hospital and Public Gardens, steps to historic sights and public transportation.

This newly renovated third floor walk-up suite has one bedroom with a King bed. The bedroom features a flat screen TV, IPOD docking Alarm clocks on both sides of the bed and full private granite bathroom. Full kitchen featuring stainless appliances and a dining area. Living room includes a flat screen TV, original art work, central stereo system with IPOD docking station, and a working fireplace.

There is basic cable service and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access.

Please note that there are stairs in the unit. Window unit Air conditioning.

NOTE: Short-term rental rates vary by season, length of stay, City events and property census—very much like hotels.

Prior to arrival we were provided plenty of info on getting into the unit. We arrived a bit early and the cleaning crew let us leave our luggage. The location is ideal and the rooftop deck is amazing. Thats the end of the good news. The place needs some maintenance right away. The toilet seat was completely broken off. Water damage on the ceiling was flaking off and coming down. The fireplace smoked, and we were told someone would come by the next day. No one came. Its really dirty. Cobwebs in between the stair rails, dingy towels, dusty floors. The furniture is beat up. Broken side table, broken lamp shades. The couch is filthy. The blinds were broken, so we had to jimmy a knife to get them to go down. The pictures in the listing were probably taken years ago, and the actual unit is a filthy, badly beaten up version of the pics. There is no information on how to work anything. The hot water is on the right, the cold is on the left. There are 5 remotes downstairs and no info on how to use them. It was definitely not worth the price, you can rent a nice hotel room close by for the same amount and you will get much better service.

We have no words to respond to this review. There is NO WAY on the planet I can imagine a person being willing to stay in an apartment that was alleged to be in such disrepair. I first concern is why SeamlessTransition or the property management office was not notified immediately!! I do NOT be believe that things do not go wrong. However, what Jessica reports is just not plausible and certainly not reflected in previous (and recent) reviews. Nevertheless, Jessica's comments have been sent to the property management for immediate action. We can only say we regret that the property did not meet Jessica's expectations.

The listing description was perfectly accurate. The apartment was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The roof deck was a real bonus. The location, ambience and local amenities were all excellent. The enormous bed was super. It was great to have robes and an abundance of towels. The booking process and joining instructions were smooth and clear.

This location was ideal. Situated one street back from historic Charles Street it was perfect for our special weekend. We did not meet the hosts as we had keyless entry codes upon arrivsl. The management company however was vert attentive to our needs. The condo was outfitted with anything you may need to make your visit enjoyable. Extra bonus was the beautiful roof deck. We were able to have cocktails up there and view the Boston skyline on a cool October afternoon. One word of caution, the untit is only accessible by a long narrow stairway and then there are 2 more narrow stairways to navigate to get around in the condo. If you have any mobility issues it would be difficult.
