We have a private room in our beautiful and spacious apartment in Montreal's Mile End. The neighbourhood is wonderful; you'll be walking distance to many of the city's hot spots.
We have a private room with double bed for your stay. The apartment is large, on a quiet street and shared with 3 young professionals and 3 cats. The room is small and located by the kitchen.
This is a happy, communal apartment. We like to share meals and chat about our days. Staying here means having three friends tell you about the best spots to go for brunch (or midnight snacks).
The apartment is next to all the cool stuff. All the cool stuff you want to do in Montreal? It's next to us.
Guests have access to all communal space: kitchen, balcony, backyard, living room, reading nook and bathroom.
There is a washer and a dryer for you to use, if you wish. We also have a fully-equipped kitchen if you'd like to cook your own meals.
There is Wi-Fi in the apartment, but it doesn't work well in the room we're renting. However, there is a "office space" we encourage you to use, if you need to do work.
Interaction with Guests
If we are not at work or out enjoying Montreal's cafes or parks, we're happy to spend some time with you and answer any questions about things to visit in the city.
The apartment is close to everything! There are numerous cafes, restaurants and parks nearby. A local farmers' market is down the street in the summer and autumn. To get downtown, you can take a stroll through Jeanne-Mance Park along the mountain or an 8-minute bus ride will take you straight to Place des Arts (perfect for festivals!).
The famous bagel shops, St. Viateur and Fairmont, are just a quick walk away - as are Montrealer's favourite cafes, Olympico and Cafe Social. We are right nearby the popular tam-tams in the park on Sundays as well as some of Montreal's most well-known and busiest shopping streets, Mont-Royal, St. Laurent and St. Denis.
It's easy to get around by foot, but there are also bixi bicycles to rent by the hour and several bus lines that run within a few minutes of the apartment. There is overnight street parking nearby.
Other Things to Note
We have three adorable cats.
On parle français und ein bißchen Deutsch.
We welcome people of all colours, orientations, and genders. Sadly the apartment is not wheelchair accessible.
If you want to smoke, we ask that you go on the balcony. Shoes off inside, please.
Our host Caroline and her friends where very friendly, accommodating and the apartment was clean and user friendly.
The area was great with many stores close by and access to the Metro via local buses easily accessible.
We had a great time staying with Caroline! She was very friendly and made us feel comfortable in her home. The area was great, with lots of shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place!
This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed with Caroline and her roommates. This is a great base for exploring Montreal. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
I stayed here for 5 days in March with my friend. The apartment was just as described and the pictures too. It was very cozy and the hosts very friendly and welcoming. Caroline even made us a map, which helped us get around the neighborhood very easily. The map was great! It was marked with too many restaurants/cafes/bars to count! (All within walking distance). Caroline and her roommates answered EVERY question we had (and we had a lot.) I think the location is ideal because it's a very authentic/edgier area compared to downtown Montreal and Old Port, which are more touristy. Downtown and Old Port are still very close though and we were able to see both by bus and metro system. But, if you go in the spring/summer, I'm sure you could just ride a bike everywhere!
Caroline and her roomies have 3 wonderful cats that love to cuddle, so if you don't like cats for some reason or are allergic, don't stay here. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this place. All the roommates were respectful, helpful, and clean. You will feel like it is your home.
This is a great spot. Mont Royal park is steps away and there are many cool cafés and shops very close by. It was a pleasure to meet Alissa; she is a good conversationalist and also makes a mean risotto! Another bonus is the nice record collection and stereo setup. The only (slightly) unpleasant thing about this place is malodour that necessarily comes with having three cats. The price is right though.
Caroline was very friendly and quick to respond to my messages. Always willing to give great recommendations. She also invited me to a film screening and dinner with her friends my first night.
I also had a lot of contact with Alicia who also had a lot of interesting stories about Montreal and was super friendly too. Didn't have much interaction with the third roommate since my français is not good.
Overall the apartment was clean and in good order. I'd stay again. The cats were also really friendly!
Thank you ladies for making the world feel a little smaller!
Caroline and co were great hostesses! The flat was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. I'd definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area!
