The original farm house was built in 1826 and was a horse exchange for the stagecoach run. Furnished with early american decor it has all the modern amenities. Included in your stay will be three private bedrooms, two baths, kitchenette in finished basement ( small fridge, two burner stove top, convection/toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot), sauna with shower, exercise room( elliptical, nortic ski, weight machine). Antique pin ball, Star Wars arcade game, air-hockey, popcorn maker.

The space
The grounds have a formal English garden, antique car restoration facility , two acre mountain spring fed pond and 5 miles of private hiking trails. Visit the barn and collect morning eggs in the hen coop or watch the ducks glide effortlessly in their pond. Our horse, Moses, may like a carrot or two. We are a short ride to town where you can visit the Penobscot Marine Museum or for a longer drive visit Arcadia National Park. Barn friendly animals include Ernie the pot belly pig, Fin and Huck, dewarf goats, Burt and Gus the geese. Stormy, min-schnauzer, Bella the Maine coon cat

Location

Searsport, Maine, United States

We love living in Searsport as the mountain elevation provides a soft breeze and the proximity to the ocean brings in the sweet smell of the coast. Fields of wild natural blueberries surround our home. In the warm months birds and bees welcome us to the outdoors that we share.

Small grocery store 'Toziers', located in town 4 miles away for your cooking needs. Swan Lake Grocery is 3 ish miles away, great meats!
