What is best about Hammersmith is the LOCATION! Very close to central London and easy to get everywhere. Great Public transport links to Hammersmith from all parts of London.
The underground stations within 2 mins walking distance is Hammersmith (District & Piccadilly branch and Hammersmith & City, Central lines branch).
There are plenty of bus stops in the area as well as links to the London Overground train line.
Hammersmith is the closest underground station and is found 2 minutes away on the main the road. This is just 2 stops (4 minutes on the train) away from Earls' Court.
4 stops away from Notting Hill where you can go and visit the famous Portobello Market.
7 stops away from Green park station (15 minutes on Piccadilly line) where you can see Buckingham Palace, Marble Arch, and Hyde Park. Next station after that is Piccadilly station another 3 mins where you can go to Regents Street shopping, or the West End and Soho to see London's top theatres, musicals and visit China town. Stay on the train for 5 minutes longer and you reach the stop Russel Square station for the world famous British Museum.
HOW TO GET FROM AIRPORTS
1. From Heathrow Airport you can take the Piccadilly metro (underground) line directly to Hammersmith station in about 30 minutes. It is then a short walk from there.
2. If you are coming from Gatwick Airport take the Gatwick express or normal train to Victoria and then come to Hammersmith station on the District line (underground). There are some buses (cheaper but longer journey) go to Victoria or Earl's court which is closest. for a big family or group the taxi direct to Hammersmith might work out cheaper.
3. From Stansted Airport take the Stansted express to Liverpool street, from there either you can get on the Hammersmith and City line (tube) which comes directly to Hammersmith or take the Central line (tube) to Holborn station and take the Piccadilly line to Hammersmith station on the underground.
You can also get one of several buses that operate from Stansted to Victoria station and get on District line to Hammersmith.
4. From Luton Airport take the train to King's Cross, then take the Piccadilly line to Hammersmith station on the underground. Again there are some buses (easy bus or green bus) that go to Victoria station to change to District line or get off at Baker Street and take Hammersmith & City or Circle lines.
There is no parking outside the building but lots of parking in the area. Cheapest one is through the website JustPark and parking spaces are about 4-5 minutes away on Hammersmith grove, off Hammersmith road or over the Hammersmith bridge (good for long day parking). Hammersmith Grove is around the corner too and also good for on street parking, available for reasonable price (a couple of hours). And also there is a big car park inside the King street shopping mall.
Other things to note
I'm happy to share my knowledge of London where to go out, what to see, from museums to top restaurants
Lots of shops in Hammersmith. There is a small Tesco inside the Hammersmith & District lines station brunch which is open late till 10 pm. There is a big Tesco shop on the same road 3 mins walk. Mark& Spencer's or Sainsbury's are on the Main King's street, 3-5 mins walk from the flat too.
I have a list of places to go for a meal on my profile and also in my guests book at the flat.
I kindly ask my guests to communicate their arrival time and details in advance so I can send the detailed directions an rough time to get to the flat. Please also text or message any delays or changes to your journey whenever you know it. Please leave everything clean and tidy the way you found it, a smoking is possible outside on the terrace. If any problem don't hesitate to contact me or my housekeeper asap and we will endeavour to resolve the issue quickly. Please respect the neighbours so no loud music or disturbing behaviour towards neighbours. Please treat it as your home! Many thanks for booking with me in advance and I will look forward to welcoming you. Best wishes, Shamil
