Lovely private room just 500m from boulangerie, local shop, cafe/bar and restaurant. Beautiful, location for relaxing, walking, cycling with easy access to Pezenas, Beziers and Montpellier. Beaches only 30 mins & Pyrenees under 2hrs.
Our room is a lovely size and has a sofa-bed for an extra person or up to 2 children at a charge of €15 per person/child. The terrace is pretty with lovely views. There is a small fridge and tea/coffee facilities. You can get fresh bread just up the road in the morning or we will happily do a continental breakfast.
The room is quite private with the main house being beyond it. The terrace is solely for guests to use.
Interaction with Guests
We interact with our guests as little or as much as they like. The room is quite private yet they are welcome to come and chat with us about anything they may need help with, about the area etc.
Neffies is just so friendly - you cannot get up the road without a 'bonjour' from someone! The village is so pretty and the Cafe/Bar offers such lovely views to sit and enjoy with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. This together with the local restaurant 'La Very Table' serves excellent food at competitive prices for lunch and dinner. Neffies was originally a mining village, and with the vineyards too, they have always loved 'foreigners' to the village as this usually meant lots of 'Fetes'
There is a bus service to Pezenas - 15 mins away - in the morning and at lunchtime which returns at lunchtime and in the evening. From Pezenas you can travel on.
Our house is a non-smoking area and we expect our guests to respect that. We would expect our guests to respect the fact that this is our home and observe general polite and responsible behaviour. Due to the fact that we have dogs and cats we would rather not take more animals although a small dog and travelling cat would be OK with us.
Nick and I bought our house here 10 years ago and were only able to come once or twice a year, then in 2007 we came full-time and it's been fabulous. We just love the very friendly and beautiful village of Neffies which has a relaxing and 'no worries' kind of feel to it. Nick was in Finance and now works doing all kinds of building jobs and loves it! Previously I worked with Parents and children, and learning disabled adults.
We couldn't find a Church here so we started Simply Church 6 years ago and it has become quite international - English-speaking. We have two lovely rescue dogs, Bess 4 years and Lilli 14 months, and 3 cats, one indoor Siamese, Solomon, and two village cats Lulu and Alfie who live outside mainly but let us feed them!
I have 2 life mottos - 'Be true to yourself' and 'It's not what happens to you but what you do with what happens'.
