This small bedroom is also an office space so there is a desk for your use. The bed has a foam topper on it and is very comfortable. We have both wireless and Ethernet available for your use and will try to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
This is a bedroom for one. The bathroom is shared with the hosts and includes a deep clawfoot tub. The shower is in the lower level of the house. The bed is very comfortable and the room includes a desk with Ethernet or wireless Internet access. There are two windows looking out over the lovely backyard. Common areas in the house include a living room, dining room, large kitchen with breakfast bar, and a music room. Depending on number of guests, there is also a Family Room with television and DVD player.
Continental breakfast is provided Sunday-Friday and includes a choice of bagels, muffins, fruit breads, cereal, and fruit. We make a larger breakfast on Saturdays which usually includes something with syrup--pancakes, waffles or French toast.
The neighborhood is perfect for walking, hiking and biking. Public transportation is just steps away. Both campuses of the University can be reached by bus. There are coffeeshops, formal restaurants, bookstores, a gift shop, and a children's store close by.

I had a great experience staying in St. Paul! The neighborhood was close to U of Minnesota where I had some activities and within walking distance of the park and places to get food. The house was cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately there were a few hiccups with my flight on arrival (delayed) but I was able to work that out with the hosts, thank you!
Nancy and Dave are great hosts. Their home is beautiful and close to UMN St. Paul campus and they were very helpful and considerate, even offering to drive me to campus so that I wouldn't have to be cold waiting for the bus. Very sweet and highly recommended.
Nancy and Dave were friendly and generous. The room was cozy and quiet and the house is conveniently located near U of M. A lovely experience.
I had a really wonderful stay with Nancy and Dave. They're very hospitable and kind (and easy to talk to). I didn't take advantage of their breakfast because I generally had late night meals, but I love that they were interested in providing breakfast every morning.
As long as you don't mind having a bath or going downstairs for a shower, this is very highly recommended!
Staying at Nancy's made my trip to St. Paul easy and stress free! The house is very clean and Nancy made me feel welcome and comfortable as soon as I got there. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance of a nice park, town center, and part of the university. Thanks Nancy!
Highly recommended this lovely place. Nancy and Dave is super nice. It feels like I have an aunt and uncle in St. Paul.
many thanks to nancy & dave for a warm midwestern welcome - their home is indeed beautiful, convenient to st. paul and the greater twin cities to boot.

We're from St. Paul, MN and both retired. I was a teacher for 35 years. Dave is a freelance editor and writer. We love books as you'll discover. We spend a lot of time in Brooklyn, NY visiting our sons, their wives and our grandson, but we also love to host and have met some interesting people. One of our favorite "date nights" is renting a movie and cooking a meal to fit the cuisine represented in it. We've explored Fijian, Ghanian, Japanese, Spanish, Indian and French cuisine as well as some I've chosen to forget!
