My mother and I stayed 4 nights in the Nakula suite and it was an absolute dream!
The grounds at Beji Indah are breathtaking. For a private residence the size of the land is extensive. We spent hours each day just taking photos and exploring the secret garden paths within the riverside jungle setting. If you like to be close to nature then you will LOVE it here. There is nothing fake or fabricated looking about this place, the design is very well thought out. Two fantastic infinity pools and multiple outdoor dining /massage areas dotted all over the residence between lush tropical gardens, lawns and fish ponds.
The room was much more than any ordinary hotel room you might find in Ubud for the same price. The bedroom was spacious with bay windows, air con, plenty storage and a simple but nice outdoor shower/toilet. The bedroom flowed out onto a gorgeous open plan living area with multiple lounging areas, day bed, sofa, arm chairs and a beautiful dining table! We were astounded by the quality of the solid timber Balinese furnishings. The whole suite was very clean and made up every morning while we were having breakfast.
We got the chance to look around at the other rooms too and they looked just as nice, particularly the 'Jepun' room which looks nice for a couple.
All of the staff at the property were all very kind and welcoming. I can't remember all of the staff's names however I do remember Made and Komang were particularly friendly and helpful.
One thing future guests may like to keep in mind is that the estate is run by a small team and is more like a luxurious home stay rather than a hotel experience. For example if you would like to have dinner then you have to arrange meals earlier on in the day as they don't run a restaurant, but rather make a selection of lovely home cooked meals from the kitchen in the main house. This was no problem for us as we would usually spend at least half the day at the villa/pool just relaxing and so it was very easy to communicate with staff. The breakfasts were always fresh, delicious and very nicely presented.
I have seen other reviews on tripadvisor etc complaining the villa was too far away from Ubud town centre but I think it was a perfect location! The surrounding streets were very clean and well kept, nice traditional houses etc The locals were friendly, lovely community feel, boys playing soccer on a field at the end of the street every afternoon. Transport was easy to find. PS.There is a smart new vegan resteraunt/cafe at the end of the street called Sage. Try it out! This area is perfect is your happy to just take it slow and enjoy nature. Ubud town is so busy now anyway! Book at least 4-5 nights, we wish we stayed longer!
THANK YOU BEJI INDAH!
we will be back!
