About this listing
Great Location, Great Price!
Glad to have you, your help is a blessing.
Twin Size Bed -Non-Smoking Room (1 person occupancy). No pets allowed.
A Historic duplex occupied with an easy going guy and his best friend Capt. Bailey (7yr old poodle).
The apartment is 1100 sq ft total, located in the French Quarter. The room you are staying in use to be my study, which I converted into a bedroom with 1 twin bed, desk, and night table. The bed has cotton sheets, blanket, a duvet and two pillows and a set of towels. It's a classic shotgun room therefore I have to walk thru your room to access mine. Wi-Fi available.
The whole place :) knock on my bed room door if a question pops into your head.
Interaction with Guests
I am not here to watch over you, enjoy yourself. All I ask is that you treat my home and Captain Bailey with respect.
One of the best things about where I'm located in the French Quarter ( Vieux Carre ) is that it's residential not commercial therefore it is a quiet place to rest your head after a night on the town. Please keep in mind, I do have neighbors.
The apartment is in the French Quarter ( Vieux Carre ) therefore I walk everywhere. Taxi and bus route are always an option.
Other Things to Note
Capt. Bailey is one spoiled dog. He is a friendly, smart and in charge kind of poodle.
Non- Smoking Room for one person only, you are welcome to invite a guest over to visit, I’m cool with that. No Pets, my poodle- Captain Bailey is one cute, smart and spoiled dog. He will be your new best friend, he is loved by most people but if you don’t care for him please let me know I will keep him away from you. He is not your responsibility.
Had a great stay in New Orleans with Hector and Capt Bailey! Apartment is really cool and they made me feel right at home. Hector was very generous even left me a bottle of water one morning to help with my hangover! Great location just 5 minutes walk to Bourbon St and a couple of minutes more to Frenchman st. I would definitely stay here again if in NOLA. Enjoyed the company and definitely recommend to anyone.
A nice modest place to stay with a very friendly and hospitable host. Close to every thing in the Quarter while avoiding the night's craziness- great location. Allows total freedom to come and go as guest pleases and to use house as guest desires: kitchen, fridge, cooking, TV, etc.
Close to everything in the French Quarter. Hector kept the air conditioner running during some Hot 90+ degree days in New Orleans. He was cool about sharing some goodies as well. His little dog Bailey was enjoyable to cuddle next to if you like dogs. He'll watch TV with you, and growl/bark whenever a dog appears on the screen. A good deal pricewise if you want to stay in a clean and comfortable space in the heart of Quarter and are willing to overlook that the room is not private due to the shotgun style like many places in New Orleans.
Hector was an amazing host. His house is very well located in the French Quarter, close but not too close to the action. Hector's house has a real nice style to it and Bailey is a charmer. Hospitality was outstanding; Hector even baked me a cake to take home. Would definitely stay here again.
OMG! This place is awesome. No one who wants to stay in the French Quarter will find a better deal. Moreover, the house is so eclectic and charming. It reflects the charme of New Orleans. It's fantastic!!!!
OMG!!! And Hector is the most amazing host ever. He made sure that my stay went well and always checked yo make sure I was safe. That makes me feel really special. He gave me a great list on what to do in New Orleans and how to get around town. Nothing is better than good tips from a local. Thank to him, I ate the Best thing in my life "BBQ Shrimps " at Mr. B's Bistro. Everyone should go there. Thanks to Hector, I had ate something extraordinary. I will live this town with great souvenirs and Hector had made sure that I have a wonderful trip. I just don't want to leave. Now i know I feel that a new friend and a new home in this beautiful town.
Thank you Hector for being so kind and so helpful to me. And Bailey, is so precious. I leave this town knowing that next time I come I have home to stay and a friend to go out with.
About the Host, Hector
Hello my name is Hector, I'm easy going 36-year-old guy, that lives with his best friend Captain Bailey (7-year-old miniature poodle). So basically I live in 1100 square-foot apartment, the room that you will be staying in is actually is quite private but it has no doors because the duplex is a traditional shotgun style. We share the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I work hard to keep the place clean and organized. Please be aware that for me to get to my bedroom I have to walk through your bedroom, if that's a deal breaker, I understand. After all I did not built the place. I do ask that you bring no pets and no drama because Bailey's the dog of house and he kind of runs the show. Best wishes and I hope you’ll give it a try! Look forward to meeting YOU!
I'm a candy maker in the oldest candy shop in New Orleans :)
