Great Location, Great Price!
Glad to have you, your help is a blessing.
Twin Size Bed -Non-Smoking Room (1 person occupancy). No pets allowed.
A Historic duplex occupied with an easy going guy and his best friend Capt. Bailey (7yr old poodle).
The apartment is 1100 sq ft total, located in the French Quarter. The room you are staying in use to be my study, which I converted into a bedroom with 1 twin bed, desk, and night table. The bed has cotton sheets, blanket, a duvet and two pillows and a set of towels. It's a classic shotgun room therefore I have to walk thru your room to access mine. Wi-Fi available.
The whole place :) knock on my bed room door if a question pops into your head.
Interaction with Guests
I am not here to watch over you, enjoy yourself. All I ask is that you treat my home and Captain Bailey with respect.
One of the best things about where I'm located in the French Quarter ( Vieux Carre ) is that it's residential not commercial therefore it is a quiet place to rest your head after a night on the town. Please keep in mind, I do have neighbors.
The apartment is in the French Quarter ( Vieux Carre ) therefore I walk everywhere. Taxi and bus route are always an option.
Other Things to Note
Capt. Bailey is one spoiled dog. He is a friendly, smart and in charge kind of poodle.
Non- Smoking Room for one person only, you are welcome to invite a guest over to visit, I’m cool with that. No Pets, my poodle- Captain Bailey is one cute, smart and spoiled dog. He will be your new best friend, he is loved by most people but if you don’t care for him please let me know I will keep him away from you. He is not your responsibility.
Great location - about as close to everything you'd want to visit in and near the French Quarter, but removed from the noise. The arrangement may not be for everyone, but for someone fairly laid back (which I think you sort of have to be if you are visiting NOLA) it is a great deal. I'd definitely stay here again if I am on my own visiting.
Staying with Hector and Bailey was the perfect choice for my trip! Hector left perfectly clear instructions for every step of the way, was very friendly, accommodating, and gave me great suggestions for where to go. It was nice to relax and cuddle with Bailey and taking him on a daily walk to the park located one block away was a win-win for both of us as I got to discover the town feeling like a local while Bailey led the way. The accommodations are exactly as pictured and centrally located between what I wanted to do in the French Quarter and on Frenchman St. I would come back here in a heartbeat, thanks Hector!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hector's place in the heart of the French Quarter. Hector was enthusiastic to help out and keen to share his insight into the city. A beautiful house in a great location. His dog Bailey is awesome too. Thanks again!
Hector is a charming host. The accommodations are as represented. Location is perfect for exploring. Bailey is a sweet little dog who you won't even know is there unless you seek him out. If you decide to stay here you will have a lovely intimate experience of real life in the French Quarter.
Staying with Hector and Captain Bailey was great! It was my first time in New Orleans, and he showed me around the Quarter my first night, and told me good places to go. It was a Friday night--who does that? Good hosts. The home is cozy and comfy, and the location is perfect. Hector is friendly but not obtrusive and really made his home open to me. I would totally stay here again. He also made it a point to bring me pralines he made from where he works. YUM!! Thank you, Hector!
I had a great time at Hector's place. The location is amazing, you're right in the middle of everything and at the same time slightly removed from the buzz of Bourbon street etc. Hector was very welcoming, and even let me stay for an extra night on his couch.
The room is not quite private as it doesn't have doors (only curtains), but if you don't mind sharing your space, you are sure to have an amazing time here. Thanks Hector!
Fantastic alternative to booking outrageously priced hotel rooms! Not only was this option easier on the pockets but was so comfortable as well. Hector was an outstanding host for the 6 nights nights i stayed. Barely saw him but the few times i did were very pleasant. He was helpful and very courteous upon my arrival. I felt as if i was an old friend just visiting. Upon arriving, i noticed there were booklets and area attraction information layed out for me to take. Right in the heart of the french quarter and less than a mile away from bourbon street, i couldnt have gotten any better than this, especially for the price!! Also, there was room for me to utilize the kitchen as well as my own spot in the fridge to keep food if i wanted. The home was small and quaint yet extremely clean and organized. I might even say spotless! I felt safe and very well respected and taken care of throughout my stay and would most definitely return! Thank you.. Hector
Hello my name is Hector, I'm easy going 36-year-old guy, that lives with his best friend Captain Bailey (7-year-old miniature poodle). So basically I live in 1100 square-foot apartment, the room that you will be staying in is actually is quite private but it has no doors because the duplex is a traditional shotgun style. We share the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I work hard to keep the place clean and organized. Please be aware that for me to get to my bedroom I have to walk through your bedroom, if that's a deal breaker, I understand. After all I did not built the place. I do ask that you bring no pets and no drama because Bailey's the dog of house and he kind of runs the show. Best wishes and I hope you’ll give it a try! Look forward to meeting YOU!
I'm a candy maker in the oldest candy shop in New Orleans :)
