Historic residential neighborhood on the northwest edge of downtown Billings. Great place to walk with interesting houses to look at, parks, university, and shops nearby.
The airport is 2.3 miles from our home, an easy 5 minute drive; you could walk there if it weren't for the obstacle of a big hill and busy 27th street with no sidewalks. The greyhound bus station is exactly 1 mile away, an easy 20 minute walk from downtown. There are local bus lines that pick up within a few blocks of our house. The Billings Downtown Association offers bikes for use by visitors during the day on weekdays. It is an easy walk to their office from our home.
I can't say enough about how welcoming Jenna and her family were to me. My drive to Billings was really delayed which had me arriving there around 2:30am. Jenna checked in with me along the way and made special accommodations for my late arrival. Earlier that day my truck was a victim of a hit and run by a drunk driver. My travel plan came to a screeching halt tipping off a cascade of travel set backs She graciously left a warm orange star shaped porch light on and a key in a lock box. The glowing star was a bit symbolic for me too. It totally put a smile on my face - simple pleasures I guess.
The house is right in the downtown section of Billings. Her place was warm, clean with tons of good juju. You will stay in a very large room just off a lovely kitchen. It also boasts a private bathroom. The bed is super comfortable and the room is tastefully decorated.
The piece de resistance was coffee and conversation in the morning with Jenna and her lovely daughter. We chatted a for about a hour before I had to set off for the last leg of my drive to Fargo. It was a refreshing reset for me.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Billings - look no further.
Everything was great. Brian and Jenna went above and beyond and were extremely accommodating. Their location is ideal for downtown business/recreation travel and within a short walk of bars/restaurants/all downtown amenities. No car needed if traveling for downtown business and in a great residential neighborhood.
We had the perfect stay at Jenna and Brian's lovely home. Since they decided to have a vacation of their own that weekend we had the whole place to ourselves, however, they waited for us to arrive so we could meet and they could show us around. They seem like such a nice family and we would be happy to stay again.
The home is an easy walk to downtown Billings with many great restaurants, breweries, and shops in the area. Jenna even left us a map of local breweries since she knew we were interested it trying a few.
Even after our stay, the follow up was great. We unfortunately left an item behind and Jenna was quick to locate it and offer to mail it to us. We are so grateful and will absolutely stay again when we are in the Billings area. Thanks Jenna & Brian!
Our hosts were friendly and thoughtful, providing a very useful list of local facilities and a good breakfast. The accommodation was very pleasant, comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is very convenient, in easy walking distance from downtown Billings, and in a pretty street. I would heartily recommend staying here to anyone visiting Billings!
On my first stop heading from Seattle to NC, Jenna and Brian were a there for me to stay with in Billings! The room and bed were private, extremely comfortable, and clean. Jenna shared apples with me and we shared lots of laughs. Early the next morning Brian made French pressed coffee and an excellent roast I must say. A perfect stay!
The Murphy's were fantastic hosts. They were warm and welcoming, providing tidbits and facts about local culture. They gave me great insider info on where to go for hikes and how to get there. I had nice entertainment listening to them work the banjo and playing with the newest and cutest addition to their family. Also, they're home is indeed charming and I had a most comfortable sleep. Thanks!
