Private 16' Yurt surrounded by 30 acres of our boreal forest! Once arriving at the parking area, you will walk down a trail for 200' where you find the yurt. Situated 6' in the air, the yurt gives you the feeling of being in the trees! There are trails to walk, ski, snow shoe, and bike. The yurt is located 30 minutes from downtown Fairbanks in a wilderness setting, and on the same road that leads to Chena Hot Springs Resort and the Chena River Recreation Area.

The space
The yurt is warm and welcoming, with simple comforts. It is "dry" which means no running water with an outhouse and a view of the surrounding forest. Even though the yurt is dry it does have a functioning sink with gravity fed water system. To eliminate distractions from the surrounding forest, there is NO supplied internet "WiFi, phone, or TV. Instead there are many trails to explore, Chena Hot Springs 40 miles up the road, Two Rivers Lodge Restaurant 2 miles up the road, and Lara's Bakery 4 miles back toward Fairbanks. Enjoy sleeping in the trees!

Brenda and I are Alaskans who love where we live, and want to share our lifestyle and property with others! We enjoy the subtle beauty that the Interior of Alaska has to offer. We built the yurt for family and friends to be able to stay in during their visits over holidays and or after social gatherings, and then wanted to start sharing with folks with similar interests on airbnb. Brenda and I enjoy traveling, canoeing, camping, gardening, and spending time at our remote cabin in the Brooks Range.
