The Sunset Beach House is so named due to the beach-theme of the rooms, and our street name, Sunset. We have strived to make this a clean, comfortable, and inviting place to stay with a home-away-from-home atmosphere. It is located in a quiet neighborhood easy access to major thoroughfares and Tri-Cities attractions.

The space
The unit is a guest suite in a daylight basement consisting of two private bedrooms and bathroom, a kitchenette, and a large livingroom area with a 60” TV with DirecTV hookups. The kitchenette is equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and breakfast items (coffee, tea, water, milk, oatmeal, cereal/granola). However, there are no sink or cooking facilities other than the microwave in the kitchenette. You are welcome to relax on the patio and deck common areas which look out on beautiful views of our soothing pond, and adjacent green-space park. Free wi-fi is also provided.

The Sunset Beach House is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to major thoroughfares, shopping, and dining. We are adjacent to one of the many city parks, and about 10 minutes from the Columbia River parks, walkways bicycle paths, swimming, boating, boat launches, and other river-front activities. Kayaks, canoes, SUPs, bicycles, etc. are available for rent at local establishments in the vicinity.

Jim and Marilyn are active grandparents who have been married for 50 years. Marilyn is a talented homemaker, and Jim is a retired scientist/professor and surfer. We have lived in the Tri-Cities for over 30 years, and are blessed to have our children and grandchildren in the area, and enjoy them thoroughly. Marilyn is a doting mother and grandmother, who is a “giver”, always helping others. She enjoys “crafts”, maintaining the household, and keeping Jim under control. Jim was a geologist and researcher who enjoys the outdoors, new adventures, camping, fishing, waterskiing, golf, tennis, and sometimes still tries to surf. Some of our favorite travels have been to warm places by the ocean with good food , interesting things to see and do, and good snorkeling. But we also enjoy Nordic skiing in the winter. We have been Airbnb hosts for over five years and enjoy meeting our guests and sharing part of our home.
