What can I even say? Amanda's beautiful home is off the beaten path, in a corner of Ireland most tourists won't ever see. The full Irish breakfast is a welcome extra. And Amanda herself was flexible and helpful beyond the call of duty. Recommended!
What a sense of place! In the middle of nowhere and everywhere amid the fields of Wicklow, our room in a wooden upper story built on ancient, incredibly thick stone walls, you know you're somewhere special. We were welcomed by three fierce-looking, but lovely dogs, and Amanda was a wonderful host. Great to talk to (wide-ranging conversations, life stories, Irish history) and served us a lovely Irish breakfast. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night! Hopefully we'll be back soon!
Lovely location, and Amanda, family and dogs all very welcoming!
Lovely breakfast, we were only sorry we couldn't stay longer.
Amanda was a wonderful host. I was very tired after a long day on the Wicklow Way, and her quiet log home was the perfect place to relax. The next morning I was well rested for another full day's walking. After receiving a full Irish breakfast, she even drove me to the trailhead of the Wicklow.
About the Host, Amanda
I love living in the Wicklow Hills! I enjoy meeting people from far off places, and listening to their life experiences. I enjoy the outdoor life - horses, dogs, walking. I love my cosy home - feel I don't need a holiday to 'get away from it all', why I am living in Nervana.
