The space
Danehill Manor is truly like no other place you’ll find. Our propert sits atop the rolling California hill overlooking the Nicasio Reservoir. With panoramic views of the open country side, it’s hard to believe this remote paradise is just 45 minutes North of San Francisco. Along with an array of diverse wildlife, our 26 acres is home to our beautiful herd of Danehill-bred horses, which freely roam the property.

Nicasio is a secret gem - packed away in a beautiful valley - only 10-20 minutes drive from Marin suburbs or Point Reyes Station which offer lovely farmers markets, locally grown organic produce, fabulous cheeses and great dining opportunities. A hike out in Point Reyes National Seashore with wildlife, elks, deer, birds - and seasonally seals and whales by the beach. Or maybe just stay "home" at Danehill Manor and take a hike on trails around on our 25 acres of paradise. Recently I saw a whole school of 2-300 dolphins close to the beach at Limantour while riding there. A kayak trip on Tomales Bay (contact Point Reyes Outdoors for reservations)to isolated beaches that can only be accessed from the water has been a favorite of several guest. Natural horsemanship lessons (dancing with horses) for beginners as well as advanced riders. Biking. Oyster Farms. A vacation can be a lovely combination of nature and city adventures, fun and interesting - even educational - for a family - as well as a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for grown ups. Danehill's host can guide you to make the stay at Danehill Manor a special and memorable experience for all. A visit to the nearby San Fransisco Bay, Tiburon, Angel Island, Sausalito. Or for a more woodsy experience, Muir woods is close by, with the giant sequoia trees are a favorite destinations for many.
