  • My family stay in this place for 2+weeks and it was really nice. The house is very cute and very clean. There were lots of books, DVDs and toys in the house for us to enjoy. and it was easy to drive to places from the house. The whole family had fun during our stay.

  • This house worked out great for us. It's in a good location, close to where we needed to be in Portland. Grandma stayed in the first floor bedroom and the two of us slept upstairs. There's a nice yard and a porch in the front with comfy chairs for lounging in the evening. Wiley warned us about the possibility of leaks from the shower but we didn't have any problems. I'd definitely stay there again if I had to be in Portland.

  • My two daughters and I travel to Portland regularly to visit friends and family, including my boyfriend. We needed a home base for a few weeks, and found this lovely gem of a house. Wiley's house fit the bill exactly for what we needed (we are all missing being there already). It was perfectly located off the Springwater Corridor for biking to Cartlandia (a request of one of my daughters) and to the Sellwood area or to the Milwaukie Farmer's Market. Although it is located in Milwaukie and not exactly Portland itself, it is so close to Portland that you will feel right in the vibe of all that is beautiful and interesting while relaxing on the porch and chilling out with a glass of wine or a lemonade.
Wiley was a delightful host, generous and informative. The house is so lovely and cozy, we relaxed immediately as soon as we stepped into it. The neighborhood is at once friendly, reasonably quiet, and conveniently located. It was just like being home. A special treat for me (the coffee drinker) was the timing of a new neighborhood coffee house two blocks away.
Bus routes (for those guests without their own cars) allow travel to either downtown Portland (via transfers) or to the Reed and Hawthorne areas in SE Portland.
My only reservation in leaving this review is generating competition for staying in Wiley's lovely home--we would gladly stay here anytime.

  • We had a great time here. Very cute, neat little house, very comfortable for a family vacation (we had three adults, a teenager, and a three-year old and were fine). Even though the weather was cold the pellet stove kept us warm. Easy drive into downtown Portland. Wiley was great to work with, very helpful and communicative. We'd be glad to stay there again.

  • We loved Wiley's house! It's had some recent remodels, including a new wood floor and an updated bathroom, and it's got plenty of windows so it's nice and bright. For the price, it was an incredible bargain. It was perfect for 3 adults and would be fine for more. As a frequent traveler, here's what's important to me: The street is lovely, green and quiet. The beds are large and very comfortable, with excellent sheets and lots of pillows. The kitchen is large and fully stocked. There's easy and fast access to central Portland, and you're right by the Springwater Corridor for biking. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Portland.

  • This house is indeed very cute. My wife and I spent 4 days in the Portland area, and this house served as an excellent base. Plenty of room for up to 5 people. The home is well lived in so you don't really have to worry about kids marring up the place if you were to bring them along for the trip. The neighborhood was quiet. The yard was very nice with many different kinds of flowers and vegetables in front and back. We felt very comfortable while staying at Wiley's house and would most likely stay there again. Thanks Wiley!

  • What a CUTE Portland home!! We really enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Wiley was very accomidating and pleasant. My two kids LOVED the raspberry bushes and running around the back yard. They also loved the kitchen for kids and how child friendly Wiley made her house for us to use! We felt blessed to find this home and if it is available for our next stay, there is no question we will stay there! Thanks Wiley!!

  • Wow what a wonderful place to stay! It was a last minute decision to rent wileys home but it was the best decision we made instead of staying in a motel. It was very as affordable and more than what we thought we were going to get. I only wish I owned this house because i absolutely loved it. Much thanks goes to wiley for making it such a warm, inviting and not to mention clean home to relax in. We highly recommend this place to anyone, especially with a family like us and on a tight budget to look into renting wileys home!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Wiley's house. The house was very nice, clean, and spacious. The neighborhood was quiet, and the neighbors friendly. Wiley let us eat her vegetables and fruits from her garden, they were delicious! The house was well equipped and super kids friendly.
We were 10 minutes from Portland downtown and only one minute away from downtown Milwaukie (by car) and shops.
Wiley and her mom was very helpful, and super friendly. We will definitely come back if we are back in Oregon.
