  • This lovely house was a restful oasis and such a pleasant stay!

  • This house was so perfect for my friend and I. Spacious, clean, comfortable, just perfect! We felt like we were from here, not tourists. We even cooked using the herbs in the garden. Such a great place to stay. Also, it's close to Portland City center but we were able to walk to the Milwaukee Farmer's Market which was nice.

  • My teacher friend and I stayed in Wiley's house for two weeks. The house was cute, clean and comfortable. Wiley and her mother, Marcia, were nothing but helpful and accommodating. There is a sweet local coffee shop that serves great coffee and waffles that we hit everyday on the way to our conference. I have nothing but good things to say about the whole experience especially our stay at the house! Thank-you Wiley and Marcia!

  • Wiley was wonderful to work with, and the house was extraordinarily clean, comfortable, and convenient. Our daughter loved the upstairs space and yard, and we all appreciated the house and its many amenities. The house is about a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Portland, but it's an easy trip. We'll definitely try to stay here again the next time we're in Portland.

  • The house was really nice. The berries in the back yard were a very tasty bonus! The location was perfect for us. All good!

  • My family stay in this place for 2+weeks and it was really nice. The house is very cute and very clean. There were lots of books, DVDs and toys in the house for us to enjoy. and it was easy to drive to places from the house. The whole family had fun during our stay.

  • This house worked out great for us. It's in a good location, close to where we needed to be in Portland. Grandma stayed in the first floor bedroom and the two of us slept upstairs. There's a nice yard and a porch in the front with comfy chairs for lounging in the evening. Wiley warned us about the possibility of leaks from the shower but we didn't have any problems. I'd definitely stay there again if I had to be in Portland.

  • My two daughters and I travel to Portland regularly to visit friends and family, including my boyfriend. We needed a home base for a few weeks, and found this lovely gem of a house. Wiley's house fit the bill exactly for what we needed (we are all missing being there already). It was perfectly located off the Springwater Corridor for biking to Cartlandia (a request of one of my daughters) and to the Sellwood area or to the Milwaukie Farmer's Market. Although it is located in Milwaukie and not exactly Portland itself, it is so close to Portland that you will feel right in the vibe of all that is beautiful and interesting while relaxing on the porch and chilling out with a glass of wine or a lemonade.
Wiley was a delightful host, generous and informative. The house is so lovely and cozy, we relaxed immediately as soon as we stepped into it. The neighborhood is at once friendly, reasonably quiet, and conveniently located. It was just like being home. A special treat for me (the coffee drinker) was the timing of a new neighborhood coffee house two blocks away.
Bus routes (for those guests without their own cars) allow travel to either downtown Portland (via transfers) or to the Reed and Hawthorne areas in SE Portland.
My only reservation in leaving this review is generating competition for staying in Wiley's lovely home--we would gladly stay here anytime.
