Guests often search for this popular amenity
Come hide out in a peaceful yellow bungalow and lounge in a lovely garden.

Originally designed as an artist's studio (high ceilings and northern light), the casita is bright and airy. Fully furnished for longer stays. 2 miles from the Centro de las Artes de San Agustín, and 30 minutes from the city, though the place is so relaxing you may not want to leave at all.

People of all backgrounds & orientations welcome!

English, Spanish, French, & some Chinese spoken.

The space
Cook yourself breakfast, take your coffee outside. Spend the morning birdwatching* in a sunny garden under towering cypresses, surrounded by jasmine and lavender, with the companionship of the chillest schnauzer imaginable.

Head up the hill to the CaSa (Centro de las Artes de San Agustín), the most gorgeous ecological arts center – take a workshop, view an exhibit or concert, or simply enjoy the architecture and the view. Cool off with a splash in one of the local balneario swimming pools. In the evening, you can have drinks by the fire.

The kitchen comes equipped with the essential: full-size fridge, stove and oven, microwave, blender, electric kettle, cookware and utensils, dishes and silverware – and most importantly, a French press.
There is an easily accessible washing machine, and a clothesline in the garden.

* spotted: vermilion flycatchers, hummingbirds galore, yellow-breasted orioles, majestic caracara falcons

Where you’ll be

Oaxaca, Mexico

The neighborhood by the golf course is quiet (and is spared the early-morning blare of the daily village announcements), but the house is on the main road heading up to the arts center, the paper factory (Taller Arte Papel, locally known as "la fábrica de papel"), little stores and cafés.
