  • Great location and a very well equipped kitchen and house. We definitely enjoyed our couple of nights there and would happily stay again in the future. Definitely recommend the cottage to everyone!

  • Great little place with amazing views over the Loch - perfect size for the two of us! Lovely walks direct from the house too! Another fantastic plus point was the hospitality/logistics - Lucie and Gavin were great organising things for us at very short notice and the housekeeper was very helpful with directions, putting the heating for us before we arrived etc. The area itself is lovely and we hope to be able to stay another time!

  • Don't hold it against me...I was an Air BnB virgin...not anymore!!!!

Well, the view is as good as it is in the picture.

Waking up to see Loch Tay and smell the air certainly does wash away all your weekly woes.

The place was well equipped, and after a few hours, perfectly warm with an easy to use wood burning stove. We stayed for a weekend and spent a good few hours in the cottage cooking up a storm and chilling out around the place.

With regards to our hosts - they work invisibly visible. They organised somebody to meet us for any queries we had regarding the house. When we needed tips on nights out, music haunts, places to dine, and how to scale the most ridiculous munro or where to find a leisurely walk, they were just a text away...they even phoned around for us! Absolutely 1st class service.

For the price, it says what is says on the tin. Perfect.

  • Our weekend at the cottage was amazing. Gavin was really helpful in ensuring I had all the information I needed for our stay (directions, instructions for utilities etc), and even had someone light the stove for our arrival! That in addition to the essentials left for us (tea coffee and homemade shortbread!) meant all the little things were taken care of.

The cottage itself is easy to find and very spacious. There were only two of us, but their easily space to have another 4 people without being cramped. Location-wise, the view is stunning. It's is right next to the Loch, and close enough to Killin and Kenmore for a walk around and some good pub food. I would definitely recommend a visit to My Ben Rye for anyone looking for a getaway.

  • This was the most amazing place we have stayed in our driving holiday around Scotland. Gavin & Lucie are great hosts, warm & friendly with a cottage exactly the same & a view from it that you could sit with all day. Pam had a fire lit for us on arrival and shortbread, all we had to do was put the kettle on & cosy into the lounge by the fireplace. (Thanks Pam!) we highly recommend a visit to Fortingal Inn for breakfast, very warm hosts & good food also. A true highlight and very memorable spot for us all. Thank you all so much.

  • This was a lovely setting and a very good location for us. The house was as pictured and very comfortable, with gorgeous views of Loch Tay and a big yard with a hedge which made it all seem very private. It took us a day to figure out the hot water and a few other minor things, but once I emailed Lucie and Gavin with my list of questions, they answered quickly, took care of the problem at once, and had the housekeeper drop some needed items. The wifi works well and the signal was strong.

Lucie and Gavin were responsive, pleasant, and prompt in their dealings with us. We very much enjoyed our stay here!

  • This lovely property sits on a quiet hilltop, commanding a very tranquil view of mountains and lake. The essence of this place is it glass room, which is so beautifully designed. Sinking in the couch of this room, with all the natural surroundings just inches away, you will feel peace.

Pam, the housekeeper is very kind and helpful. When it is getting a bit chilly in the night, she came over helping to light up the fireplace. With fire on, family members sit around chatting, this is definitely a moment of life.

    Highly recommended.

  • We had a lovely time at Gavin and Lucie's cottage. The view was incredible and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. They were very friendly to deal with throughout the booking too. I'd definitely recommend their cottage for anyone looking for a comfy, quiet place in the highlands.

  • We had a fantastic seven night stay at this amazing cottage. Great amenities, and nice and close to everything we needed. It was a great base to explore the Highlands (and surrounding Scotch Whiskey distilleries!)
