What every airbnb experience ought to aspire to be. Gavin & Lucie are excellent communicators, which made booking their Loch Tay cottage effortless. In terms of the quality of the accommodation, it was a beautiful, well priced, accurately represented home that was well prepared for my group's arrival. Perfectly equipped for guests unfamiliar with the surrounding area. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely stay at My Ben Rye. The cottage was filled with everything you could ever need for your stay there, from binoculars to board games and even homemade shortbread. The log burning stove is also a great touch, the views were spectacular and even better than the pictures.
Gavin was a great host, easy to get in touch with. We couldn't recommend My Ben Rye enough and we will definitely be returning.
We were a group of 8 and were in this cottage for 3 fantastic days.
Views surrounding the cottage are stunning. The drive to nearby villages and around the Loch is highly recommended. The location is ideal to cover two national parks; Loch Lomond and The Caingorms)
Communication was great. We were received and walked through the house by a caretaker. The cottage itself is well equipped with all the amenities you would want. The group mainly comprised people who work in hospitality industry, were very impressed with how organised things were. Loads of books to read in the library and the wifi network connectivity was great.
Overall we had a great stay and I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who are looking to spend a quiet week off the grind or like we did, spend quality time with friends/family.
Brilliant location with beautiful views, exactly as described. Instructions and communication great before arrival. All set up perfectly and very well equipped.
My only concern would be that the window in the conservatory needs fixing, we opened it to let air in and it fell off the hinges. Was able to get in touch with housekeeper regarding this who said it is due to be fixed soon so apart from that wee fright a lovely stay.
Really good communications before the visit - postcode takes you straight to the property. Met on arrival by housekeeper. House well stocked with milk, tea, coffee, sugar (and even some brownies!!)
Plenty of linen, towels and supply of logs, kindling and firelighters. Loads of books and board games in the house, torch, candles, binoculars.
House itesef had a great view of the loch and surrounding mountains (photos don't do it justice) - really quiet and secluded - a great place to go and relax!
The house is perfectly located with a fantastic view of the loch Tay. Only a few kilometers away from all the nice spots in the area. The house is nice even though it could do with a little refurbishment. We had a hard time understanding the heating system but it was just us being a bit slow. Pam was very helpful and quick to respond. All in all we had a lovely stay in the house.
Lovely cottage with beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay in Aberfeldy despite the bad weather. The cottage was really tidy and cosy, all facilities were available and communication with Pam before and throughout our stay was very easy. The area is just beautiful, kept on being amazed by the wonderful views. Would definitely recommend the cottage and already planning to come back in spring or summer.
