Catherine and Sean were very welcoming. Sean showed us around our room and made sure we knew how everything worked. The location is great as it is close to the Shannon airport. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable, and warm. They love to interact with their guests, joining us in the lounge, and offering tea. The breakfast was just what we wanted and was very good. An added bonus for us was getting to meet their daughter, who is adorable! We enjoyed our stay at Airport Manor very much and would highly recommend anyone staying in the Shannon area to stay with Catherine and Sean.
Catherine and Sean were very hospitable and offered us great advice for a place to eat for the night. We had a quick stay because we had to leave early in the morning for a flight. Due to this, we didn't get to experience the amazing breakfast I'm sure they would have provided. The layout of the breakfast room was very nice and the bedroom was wonderful - very spacious. Thanks!
We had to circle around a couple of times before we realized that the sign simply marked "B&B" with an arrow was for this B&B. Catherine gave us a warm welcome. She and Sean answered all our questions patiently, offering us a space heater and a tea tray for our room. Nice, clean bedroom and bathroom, plenty of towels. It was nice to have the lounge available to us too, especially with the nice fire going.
Very nice and helpfull couple. Catherine and Sean welcame us very nicely, gave us some tips about some good place to have dinner, proposed to give us a lift to the airport if we had no car,... Perfect hosts ! Very good breakfast and a comfy room.
A good adress near Shannon's airport.
The Shannon Airport Manor B&B was great! Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and included an ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was great! This is a great place to stay for catching and flight in and out of Shannon.
What a great welcome to Ireland! We arrived in Shannon early in the morning and undecided on what to do first we checked with the airport information desk. They knew Sean and Catherine "Airport Manor B &B" and called them. They were nice enough to let us drop off our luggage early so we could start sightseeing unencumbered. We took the city bus which dropped us off right down the block from the B&B which makes it a great location for getting around without a car. They are just minutes away from the airport.
Sean and Catherine welcomed us and gave us some ideas for the day ahead. We visited Bunratty Castle and the grounds that afternoon as well as the adjoining shops. Later we took the bus back to take a nap before walking down the sidewalk to a local pub to watch a grand match of Hurling also suggested by Catherine and Sean. It was fun watching a local sport at a pub and enjoying dinner.
The view you see in the picture is the front side. You can see the wonderful driveway and yard in the back that you can enjoy. On the otherside of the driveway there is a convenience store which was wonderful since our luggage was delayed.
The B&B itself is clean and inviting as are the owners. Their front entryway has local brochures for you to browse. The dining room, family room, and kitchen are downstairs. All bedrooms are located upstairs. Our bedroom had a single and full/queen size bed which were oh so comfy. The view outside our window was over the beautiful backyard. The bathroom was nice and clean with a easy to use shower. Coffee and tea supplies were in our room as well. Breakfast included a Full Irish Breakfast also cereal, orange juice, tea, coffee, and yogurt (not sure if they always have all these items available).
The owners also helped us to locate our missing luggage which showed up that morning at the airport.
I would highly recommend staying at this B&B. You get great value for the money. They are locals that know the area very well and have great advice. Nicely situated near the airport, bus system, pubs, and convenience store. It's safe, clean, and easy to find. Wonderful hosts that like visiting with travelers and sharing info about local areas and all of Ireland. It truly was a step up from what I expected. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Sean and Catherine!
Couldn't ask for a nicer or more considerate host and hostess. Sean and Catherine went out of thier way to be there for me in every way. After a long drive into Shannon, I got a bit turned around. Sean came and rescued me! Catherine greeted me with tea and cookies and their adorable Maxi showered me with affection and play! Everything you could want in a BnB. Clean, quiet, good solid breakfast and love.......with the added benefit of being a stone's throw to Shannon Airport. I would highly say YES to anyone considering a stay with these delightful people!
