Ever dreamed of finding private seaside solitude on the rocky Maine coast? Camelot sits upon an isolated thirty-foot cliff overlooking the Atlantic. At high tide, waves crash against the sandstone rocks. At low tide, a hundred feet of beach is revealed for shell collecting, clam digging and rock skipping. With no roads within a half mile, you might not see another soul during your stay. Enjoy peaceful off-grid cabin life. Campfire cookouts, stunning views, and cozy beds.

The space
Camelot is a 300 sq.ft. A-Frame cabin built by my father in 1965, and completely renovated in 2023. It has a living room/kitchen, one bedroom with a queen bed, and a loft with two twin beds.

Our off-grid cabin has all the modern comforts of home. A solar electric system powers lights, a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. A freshwater well delivers drinkable running water to the kitchen sink and shower. A tankless propane hot water heater gives hot showers. Propane fuels the kitchen stove/oven. The bathroom has a compost toilet along with the shower. A woodstove keeps the cabin warm in spring/fall and there are fans in each bedroom to keep it cool in July/August.
No TV. No wifi. It DOES have cell phone service, but from Canadian cell towers.
It is stocked with everything you need - plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, silverware, coffee French press, sheets, pillows, blankets, Scrabble, playing cards.
Dogs and cats are welcome!

Guest access
Guests can easily access the Atlantic Ocean via a short walking path, and a set of private stairs built into the cliff.
You can walk up the sandy shore for several miles at low tide.
You can also wander through the woods, we own the four acres surrounding the cabin.
Calais is a 20 minute drive north with all major stores and a Walmart.
Eastport is a 20 minute drive south with restaurants and all the beauty and charm of a Maine seaside village.

Other things to note
Just to repeat: It is off-grid. No TV. No wifi. It does have cell phone service from Canadian cell towers.
