Sangare Gardens is a running farmhouse situated on an expansive farm adjacent to the Aberdare National Park in the Sangare area. It is a 3.5 hour drive from Nairobi and 6 kilometres from the Nyeri-Nyahururu Road.
Relax and enjoy our fresh country breezes combined with scenic views of both Mount Kenya and the Aberdare ranges. Sangare Gardens: Farmhouse Comfort is for full-board and Self-Catering Farmhouse is for those who want to handle their own meals.

The space
Sangare Gardens has a total of 8 rooms which are all ensuite with multiple areas to watch nature's beauty.
The property consists of:

The main house- The original farmhouse was built to be a self-sufficient home with a fully functional kitchen, dining room, living room, fireplace and a verandah with outdoor seating facing a beautiful pond and epic views of Mt. Kenya. There is one double room available in this space.

Three cosy cottages- A short walking distance away from the main house, along a leafy path are private cottages. Each cottage is a double room with a spacey bathroom attached and a small outdoor seating area which is perfect for bird watching or morning/evening tea.

The new house- Opposite the main house, the new house has two bedrooms on the ground floor and two bedrooms upstairs. These double rooms include a walk-in shower, a fireplace and a furnished balcony facing the garden.

There is a communal dining area under the main house that has ample seating, a stocked bar, a pool table and a TV. Tea and coffee can always be found here as well as a few soft drinks. Behind the dining area is a fully kitted kitchen with a home cook ready to serve up some tasty dishes.

For those looking for a separate entertainment area, the gazebo fitted with a built-in grill, bar and bluetooth speaker is the perfect place to unwind and have some fun. It also has a darts board and table tennis in the space beneath it.

We have a trampoline in the garden for those who are feeling bouncy. We also have home grown tilapia in the pond that can be personally fished and served up for a meal of your choice. WiFi is available, however it is only centred around the main house and the gazebo.

We have a lovely lady that will do all your housekeeping (laundry can be done at an extra cost) and guards stationed around the farm if you need them. Firewood and all other small things are included.

Sangare Gardens is situated on an expansive farm right next to Sangare Conservancy in the Sangare area of Mweiga, Nyeri County. It is less than 50 kilometres from the Aberdare ranges which is one of the Kenya's water towers. The place offers breathtaking view of the Aberdare ranges, the Sangare Hills and Mount Kenya.
The cottages and rooms at Sangare Gardens are intimate and stylish. Savor fine food prepared by our resident home cook using fresh local ingredients from the local vegetable garden. The set-up is ideal for family and groups of people who desire to have local fun as it was in the days such as walking, milking, farm activities, self game drives at Sangare Conservancy etc.
