Picturesque space unlike any other in the area. Our home sits at the base of part of the Blue Ridge Mountain chain.

Roanoke has the best Mountain views, restaurants, hikes, biking and walking trails, breweries and wineries, museums and wide open spaces. Malls, antique shops and a zoo to name a few!

The space
Our Sweet suite has plenty of space! Being down in the basement helps keep the temperature, lighting and quiet at the perfect level. Mountain Views from upstairs only. No windows in the basement. No private entrance at this time.
You’ll enjoy your own full bath and open den space.

Upstairs we have an open concept kitchen, no dining room and direct access to our backyard through our backdoor. Rising mountain views can be seen from our entire one acre of property. Livingroom and kitchen have Mountain Views from our windows.
There are no windows in our basement.

Pandemic Notes:
Kitchen- yes! You can use as long as you clean up! If you’ve been around anyone with symptoms or is sick you’ll have to skip using our kitchen and/or mask up.

A well groomed, quiet neighborhood located at the foot of part of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This home is located within a small community of cul-de-sacs, safe for walking after a long drive, located outside the City of Roanoke but convenient to get to by car.
Hiking and biking trails, craft breweries, restaurants and greenways are also accessible by car. Roanoke and Hollins College also not too far. VT is approximately 43 minutes from here.
Come drive the Blueridge Parkway where you'll enjoy the permanent beauty that surrounds you.
Downtown Roanoke City boasts of museums, breweries, restaurants, Art Museums, music, Dr. Pepper Park, Elmwood Park and many small businesses for you to shop and buy local!
Bike Share is available throughout the valley!

I live in my home with my husband, Bernie along with our daughter who came home during the lockdown, her cat Boe and our cat Tobi.

I consider myself to be quite easy going, cheerful, a good listener and lover of life.

With three rooms available; two upstairs and a spacious finished basement with a queen bed, full bath and den area downstairs, there’s sure to be one that fits your needs! During the pandemic/varients there is a good chance our upstairs rooms will be closed off.

I always tell folks who come here to be sure to visit the Mill Mtn Star, the world's largest freestanding illuminated man-made star, constructed in 1949 serving as a beacon and welcoming sign to visitors. There's plenty of outdoor activities we love to participate in from kayaking to walking the Greenways, biking or hiking...our favorite hike has to be at Peaks of Otter; Sharp Top..the views are outstanding! The Cascades is another great one, and we do have a short hike, Buzzards Rock with the trailhead about six minutes from our home.
Our civic center always has great performances (Broadway), concerts and festivals! The Breweries are always coming up with different brews, the restaurants growing with new eats!! Roanoke sure has quite a bit to see and do.

I'm one from a family of eleven and so sharing my space has never been an issue! I've seen a lot of the USA and love meeting new travelers along their journey!
