About this listing

My bright and comfortable one bedroom apartment overlooks the cobbled streets of Temple Bar. Enjoy living in the cultural and historic centre of Dublin with great pubs, clubs and restaurants right outside your front door! The BEST location!

The space

My large one bedroom apartment is situated on the first floor and has a great view over the cobbled streets of Temple Bar below :-) It is just around the corner from Temple Bar Square - so there really is no better location in Dublin! You are at the heart of all of the action and can easily walk to the major attractions in the city - Trinity College, Christchurch, Dublinia, the Ha'penny Bridge, Grafton Street & Henry Street shopping districts... these are all just a short stroll away. Or if you prefer, you could just relax in the living room, open the balcony doors in the large bay-window and simply watch the world go by below you...

The apartment comfortably sleeps two people. There is one bedroom with a really comfy double bed, which is located at the back of the building, so it is nice and quiet at nighttime :-) There is a separate bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped (not that you will be wanting to eat-in very often with all the great cafes and restaurants on your doorstep!). There is even a Nespresso coffee machine to get you started in the morning :-)

All the essentials that you need are provided - super-fast wifi, Apple TV (so you can stream all your favorite shows from your own Netflix account), DVD player (and a small selection of movies), washing machine with laundry powder etc. The price includes all bed linen and towels. If you are staying for a long period, the price will also include the regular servicing of the apartment. There are also a couple of umbrellas, just in case the Irish weather starts to play up!

My guests will also receive a 10% discount in the cafe just opposite my apartment building :-) They do great breakfasts & excellent coffee!

Guest access

My guests enjoy the full use of the apartment as they have the place to themselves :-)

Interaction with guests

If I am in Dublin when you arrive, I will come meet you when you check-in and show you around the apartment. I will also provide you with a detailed House Manual with tons of suggestions on places to eat and things to do in and around Temple Bar. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me - I'd love to help!

Other things to note

Please note - this is a no smoking apartment. Also, no pets allowed, sorry.

Perfect location to have ample access to public transportation or to walk everywhere. Close to a ton of restaurants, of all sorts as well as places to buy food to cook. Jason was quick to respond to anything you need. Highly recommend.

Jasons apartment is realy fantastic. Right in the old center with all the bars and restaurants and with a lot of people walking around. The apartment is very comfortable with everything we needed. A good kitchen, a relaxing hot shower and a comfy bed. The bedroom was on the backside of the apartment so no noise from the street when we wanted to sleep. Jason gave us all the information we needed and on the table there was a book with detailed information about the apartment and good restaurants for breakfast an diner. I hope you will add tapas restaurant Havana on your list. Absolutely delicious! We will definitely try to book the apartment again when we will return to Dublin!

Very well located and cute apartment! The neighborhood is super busy, but the location of the bedroom still makes it possible to get a great night's sleep. You can walk to everything and then relax there afterwards.

Great location, clean and well maintained. Even though you are in the heart of Temple Bar the apartment is quiet. Jason was attentive and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a nice few days right in the middle of Temple Bar at Jason's place. The check-in process was super easy, and I appreciated Jason's excellent communication from the moment I booked the apartment - he even sent me a message the day-of to make sure I had received the keys with no issues. The apartment is situated in PRIME location, with coffee, food, bars, and shopping literally on your doorstep. This does, however, come at a price, and you will be hard-pressed to find peace and quiet during your stay. The living room has an awesome balcony-area that looks out over a pedestrian street, and noise from this street is very loud even when the windows are closed. The back bedroom is quieter, but you do still hear other residents of the building coming-and-going throughout the night. The double bed was comfy, but I would have liked to have nicer/softer linens on the bed. I was surprised to see stains on the bedroom carpet, and to see the baseboards throughout the house (especially near the bedroom door and in the bathroom) kind of crumbling - perhaps a characteristic of an older building. The bathroom was disappointing, and I happened to read a review of the apartment several days before my visit that mentioned a kind of "sewer" smell in the bathroom - I definitely noticed this too, and it seemed to be surrounding both the toilet, and the shower when you turned the water on. Not pleasant. I would say that the highlight of the apartment is the living room area, with a comfortable couch and kitchen table to relax and enjoy a Nespresso coffee (that Jason provides) and use the wifi/listen to the sounds of the city outside. It was a great home base to explore the city from, but I'm not sure that it was the best value for money - could use a few updates and repairs. Thank you for having us, Jason.

I am friendly and open minded, originally from Northern Ireland but now live in Dublin, Ireland. I travel a lot, which I like as it allows me to meet new people. I love the city I live in and really enjoy sharing it with friends who come to stay.

I speak some French and am currently trying to learn Spanish.
