About this listing
Open & airy loft-style apartment with queen sized Tempurpedic bed. Private floor with bedroom, bathroom, patio, & full kitchen. Two blocks from subway (C line at Clinton-Washington stop), walking distance to bars, restaurants, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden, Barclays Center & much more!
Our building is a "boutique townhouse" in Prospect Heights. It is a loft-style space, meaning the bedroom, living/dining room and kitchen are all connected. We are in the middle of everything, but on a quiet residential street. You can walk to Prospect Park, Barclays Center, or any of the many local destinations, then return to our quiet home to relax.
Guests have their own floor with private entrance, living area, sleeping area, bathroom, patio, temperature controls and kitchen. We have a separate floor downstairs.
Interaction with Guests
After initial introductions, we will retire to the other level and allow you as much privacy as you like! We usually access the floor once a day to empty garbage, water the plants etc, but will give as much privacy as needed.
Our neighborhood is the best mix of access to local hot spots, while being on a quiet residential street. There is usually parking to be found on the block (rare in Brooklyn!) and terrific options for dining and nightlife all around. We love it here!
The C train is two blocks away, and just about every other train in Brooklyn is available at Barclays Center/Atlantic Terminal, a ten minute walk: B, Q, 2, 3, 4, 5, D, N, R, and Long Island Railroad. Plenty of Buses too!
Other Things to Note
The apartment is on the ground floor at the front of the building, so you may hear people coming and going. We don't notice it, but if you are a light sleeper we have a white-noise machine and earplugs if needed... There's no TV, but we have business-class internet, blazing fast! There's a dishwasher, Insinkerator, and full kitchen.
We take off shoes in the foyer, and would like you to do so as well! Respect our neighbors, keep the noise down at night. Absolutely no smoking or pets in the apartment, there is a private patio in front for smokers.
I'm a technologist, living and working in Brooklyn since 2001. I've lived all over this amazing borough, and this is my favorite neighborhood ever! It's peaceful and quiet on the cross streets, while the avenues are filled with wonderful restaurants, bars, and shopping. We love living here, and if you're in town for a show at the Barclay Center or an event in the city, we know you'll love it too!
