We had a very enjoyable stay in the cowshed. Riona and Paddy are welcoming hosts and gave us useful tips of places to eat and scenic drives and walks to take close by. The converted shed is set up with everything you need for a very comfortable stay and the place is set up so you immediately feel at home. Highly recommend a stay here if you want to explore Ring of Kerry and or Dingle Peninsula
It is impossible not to like this place. The cottage has simply everything you need to make yourself at home and it was spotlessly clean. Riona was great from beginning to the end. Always promptly answering our questions and recommending places to visit in the area. I will definitely stay here again in my next trip to Killarney. Thanks Riona!
We had a GREAT stay at Riona and Paddy's cottage. They were incredibly friendly and generous (turns out we might even be related). The cottage was comfortable and welcoming, and we appreciated the breakfast provisions. Everything we could have needed was provided, including a way to hook up an iPhone to a speaker system. They had great recommendations for places, bars, and restaurants to visit. The minute we arrived, they invited us in to their place for a glass of wine. 5 stars!
This cottage is so nice and cozy, and our stay here was wonderful. Riona and Paddy (and their kids) are great. They go out of their way for guests -- providing eggs, milk, tea, coffee, ham, yogurt, cheese, etc. After a long, crazy drive trying to find the cottage in the pitch black, once we got there, Riona came by and invited us to their place for a drink and a chat. These folks epitomize Irish hospitality, and we only wish we could have stayed longer -- next time we definitely will!
Nous avons été reçus très très très chaleureusement et avec sincérité. Le logement est impeccable, confortable, bien équipé, bien situé, et les hotes ont été de très bon conseil pour le choix des promenades, des pubs, des restaurants.....
Riona and Paddy are wonderful hosts and even better individuals with quite the sense of humor! The space itself is adjacent to the house and was as cozy, well decorated and stocked as we could have wished.
Location wise, you'll definitely need a car but is well worth the drive - the views from Killarney and to Killorglin are absolutely beautiful. It's also a fantastic launching pad to the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, and the National Park. Paddy's advice was the icing on top!
Would fully recommend to anyone looking to explore the region and meet some great people.
