I went to Chicago for work and was able to stay at John' and Bozena's. It was very, very convenient to get to the train and a quick ride into downtown where I needed to be. The bed was super comfortable and the bedroom was great to rest from a long day at work. The living room and kitchen are beautiful spaces, and the hosts are very welcoming people. Excellent place!
Everything was as described. Communication with host was prompt and very helpful. Parking was easy. Location was perfect for attending a show and the area has a lot to offer and is close to the lakeshore. The bathroom is gorgeous! Bailey the dog is sweet. The bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.
The place was just as described ...a very lovely home. Also, their page provides the most comprehensive summary of information you'd ever need to know about the cool places in their neighborhood and the main sites in Chicago.
Due to the snow, their guest parking spot could not be accessed, but John provided permit parking stickers so that we could park on the street. This worked great, except for Saturday night, when all of the on-street parking spots were taken by people attending the show at the nearby Aragon theater.
Jon was a great host. He had a street parking pass ready for us when we got there, which is really great, especially for Chicago. He reccommended a great restaurant close to the Riviera, and was kind enough to drop us off at a coffee shop one morning. We were able to take full advantage (pots, pans, utensils) of the beautiful kitchen for cooking during our short stay. Overall, great host and we enjoyed talking with him and hearing about the history of the beautiful house!
The description was accurate. Great house. Lovely / cozy room. Awesome steam shower! Plenty of towels. Easy access and street parking.
This place was absolutely lovely and John was so welcoming and really helpful. There is a nice kitchen and very comfy living room and the rooms are not that big but big enough. The highlight of this place are the bathrooms with showers like in a spa. Moreover, the house is really close to the center which is very convenient. The only setback is that you can hear the people walking around on the second floor if you stay on the first floor. However, there is no doubt that I would definitely recommend this place! :)

We are easy going, relaxed, have a sense of humor and are helpful in many ways to all our guests. However, we are not interested in hosting guests who never leave the house and have no intention of going out to see the sights but just plan to stay "at home".
