Private bedroom in two bedroom apartment in the hippest neighborhood in NY. Comfortably fits two and is a block away from Bedford Ave - at the heart of the Williamsburg shopping and dining scene.

The space

My home will offer you a retreat from the bustle of the city. I love hosting airbnb guests to bring together people who share a love in exploring, traveling, and meeting others on the same journey in life. My home allows guest to use the living room, kitchen, bathroom and all common areas as if it were their own. The apartment has great light, and is kept very clean. Please note that this is a fourth floor walk up with no elevator!

Your bedroom is all your own with a full bed, night stand and closet to hang your dry cleaning or store your luggage. The living room is the perfect place to indulge in a cup of java in the morning or put your feet up after a long day of sight-seeing. If you have any special requests please feel free to message me and I will do my best to accommodate. There is free high speed wireless Internet but note there is no TV.

The location is amazing with incredible restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and boutiques within blocks of the apartment. Transit is close by and 1 stop from Manhattan by either the L train or the JMZ subway lines. Also, located within blocks of the Williamsburg bridge if you want to walk, drive, or bike into the city while enjoying a close up view of the New York Skyline. Another perk is that it is within blocks of several citibike stations if you want to explore by riding a bike around!

Interaction with guests

I am a busy New Yorker who works from home / coffee shops / parks, but I also often like quiet and rest. I may not be around that often. However, if you want to have coffee or drinks in the neighborhood during your stay, let me know and I’ll be happy to show you around!

Other things to note

There are two rooms rented on AirBnB in this apartment so you will be sharing it with me and up to two other guests. This is so much fun! We often end up with an eclectic gathering from various parts of the world coming together for coffee in the am

Priya was a great host that makes you feel welcome at her apartment from the first moment. She is a really communicative and friendly person, which gave us a lot of recommendations for a restaurant or bar nearby. The apartment is well located with a few minutes walking distance to the subway to Bedford Avenue and Marcy Avenue respectively. Ideal to get to know Williamsburg, it's surroundings as well as Manhatten.

Priya's place was exactly as described, clean, and in a great location if you're looking to explore Brooklyn/Williamsburg; however I would not stay here again. I was not happy with the security of the room or apartment. Priya rents her two bedrooms and although we were fortunate to have friendly co-guests staying in the second bedroom, I felt as though my belongings were vulnerable to theft on various occasions. First, the room only locked from the inside so when we left for the day the other guests could've easily gone into our room. Second, on check-out day there were no instructions given on where to leave the keys so when I went out for an early breakfast I returned to a unlocked apartment as the other guests 'checked-out' and left their keys in the apartment essentially leaving all my things, and Priya's apartment, an easy target for theft (especially if people in her building know it is operating as a air bnb, which I would assume they do). Also when we were not provided with towels - we messaged Priya upon arrival but didnt hear from her for two days so we didn't have towels for the majority of our trip which was very inconvenient. Also I found the internet to be unreliable.

My partner and I spent a week in NYC. Four days at Priya's place in Brooklyn and three in the upper east side. If I was to do again I would spend all 7 at Priya's. She's a fantastic host and her place is "the quintessential W'burg experience". Great location for the real Brooklyn. Be sure to dine at the French-Korean bistro on the corner. The food is wonderful and Chef Park is legit. When I go back to NYC, I am staying at Priya's.

I loved staying at Priya's place. It is a small apartment, but my room was very clean and comfortable, and the location is fantastic, all of Williamsburg's cafés and bars are within walking distance.
