This B&B could not have been more perfect for our one night stay on Halloween this year. The Wit's End is in the middle of a lovely neighborhood in Crosshaven. The rooms are very warm and inviting and there is a separate sitting room for guests on the second floor with tea making facilities. Our group arranged a double and a triple room and everyone slept well and raved upon departure. The house has beautiful views of the harbor, easy access to Cork City, Cobh, and Kinsale, and a warm and welcoming caretaker, Noel. He provided a delicious full Irish breakfast, loads of advice about the area, and an overall wonderful atmosphere for our visit. He was patient and kind with my daughter throughout our visit.
When we arrived, the B&B was decorated fully for Halloween, ready for trick or treaters, and Noel, the caretaker for the B&B, was in costume. My four year old was in heaven. Noel went out of his way to help us engage in the neighborhood's Halloween activities and we took our daughter trick or treating all around. I think it was the highlight of her Ireland trip.
Our very last night in Ireland was spent at Wit's End and it provided the perfect ending to the trip.
Noel a tout fait pour me rendre le séjour agréable. Et l'Irish breakfast fut délicieux. Crosshaven est charmant à cette période de l'année. J'y retournerai pour me ressourcer, c'est sûr! Merci!
We had a great time staying the night here. The rooms were comfortable, clean and looked like the pictures. The host was very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was really good with a full Irish, cereals, fruit, yogurt and a variety of juice tea and coffee. We were even made sandwiches to go with the leftovers which was very nice to have later in the day! Would defiantly stay again.
Noel was very welcoming, meeting us at the front door and helping us to carry our luggage up the stairs. We had a spacious room and our own private sitting room on the front of the house which was lovely to read a book and take in the view of the village and water down the hill. Breakfast was lovely and Noel was very hospitable and happy to give any suggestions we needed for exploring the area. Great house for a relaxing weekend and base for exploring Cork and Kinsale!
I spent two nights in this B&B and alll was awesome. The owners are fantastic, friendly and ready to satisfy all you need. The rooms are clean and the view is great! No noises will disturb you and the breakfast is incredible!!!
I've found two new friends for sure!
I had the best B&B experience of my life.
Barbara and Michael do everything they can to make you feel at home as soon as they see you outside their door.
They are an amazing couple who will offer you a ride to town if you need it, offer you wine just to say Hello, and they are smart and witty so you cannot stop having a good time with them.
Barbara offers dinner too if you want it and it is top level: my Christmas dinner looked ok compared to her dinner!
The rooms are comfortable and the beds feel like nests.
On top of that Crosshaven is a really cute village ideally located close to Cork, Midleton and Blarney so really perfect to discover the area.
Barbara and Michael were incredible hosts. It isn't possible for them to be much nicer. They made us feel at home the second we walked in the door. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, and provided great information for different things to do. The town of Crosshaven is right on the water with plenty to do in the town. The house has beautiful views from the water and is a close walk to the town center. The house was very nice and very clean. We received a delicious Irish breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend their house to anyone staying near Cork or Kinsale. I would come back in a heart beat. Do yourself a favor and stay here!
